Pretty good gloves, just not good for a downpour!,
August 26, 2009
By YooperCaller
from NM
|
"These are pretty good gloves. For me, they walk the line between uninsulated liner gloves and full blown, heavily insulated/waterproof gloves, like the MT050 Glo-mitts. I've found these to be very good for cooler temps (40-20 degrees F) and/or wet weather. However, in a heavy downpour, the outer "skin" soaks up water, the gloves stop breathing, and will eventually get wet & cold. They fit my hands well enough to shoot too, which is a big plus for me."

Disappointed!,
May 12, 2009
By Ron7777
from CO
|
"The specifications for these gloves were exactly suited for my usage in turkey hunting in Colorado Mountains. I have worn them on five, about 15 hour hunts. To my disappointment, the "synthetic leather palm" has started to rip between the thumb and the index finger where the thumb "leather" meets the palm "leather" on both gloves. The gloves are my correct XL size; the width is proper, but each of the glove fingers are half-inch too long. I plan to return the gloves."

"These gloves are great for waterfowl or upland hunting. I used them all year and they kept my hands warm and dry. I still had enough dexterity to load my gun without hang ups and they fit true to size. Good product!"

Best gloves ever,
January 26, 2009
By keepitreal
from Northern Minnesota
|
"BUY THESE GLOVES!!! I read a few reviews before writing this and cant stop wondering who thought these were decoy gloves?? The thought of submerging my hands in water with anything less than a 100% rubber decoy glove would reflect my intelligence. In Minnesota during late season we encounter some treacherous weather conditions and keeping multiple gloves in a watertight shell box used to be the only way to make it through the day....until I found these gloves. Rain or snow they remain waterproof and I'm the only guy in camp not drying his gloves by the heater every night. I haven't and will never submerge my best gloves just to see if they could second as scuba equipment. They keep my hands warm the entire season and stay dryer than any glove I've ever tried. The material holds up great and after two seasons I believe they will last several more. I bought an extra pair for daily gloves and I use them when snowblowing until it gets 10-20 below zero. As for the fit...couldn't be happier. Dexterity has exceeded my expectations along with overall performance and dryness."

good gloves,
January 20, 2009
By jcouvil
from Lake Charles, LA
|
"Most waterproof gloves I've used so far. Light and flexible, better than neoprene but starting to show signs of wear (some seam separation). I've used them on about 15 duck hunts to pushpole and set out and pick up decoys. Kept my hands warm without a lot of bulk. Granted, Louisiana winters are not too harsh ( average hunt temperature @ sunrise is around 35 to 40 degrees). Very satisfied."

great gloves for the first 2 months,
January 20, 2009
By bigshooter3
from arkansas
|
"these gloves were great for the first two months i used them, but then they start to get completely wet on the inside when you stick your hands in water just for a second, they become just water repellent and my hands freeze. I also would not not suggest these gloves if you are using them in below freezing temperatures, because they are not warm enough, they are just right for temps around 35 to 50 degrees."

"I have over the years bought several varieties of so called cold/rain gloves these are doing the job presently dealing with some extreme cold here in Atlantic Canada. Performing beyond my expectations. But for hunting I will require a thinner glove with same properties."

Cabelas products in general,

"HI Over the past 12 months or so, I have purchased a number of products from Cabelas in the USA. Gortex Boots, Head gear, and now the Camo Gortex Gloves, and with all products received I can honestly say they are great for quality. with an exellent service even though cabelas is some 3,000 miles away, and it is my intentions to purchase all my hunting equipment from them in the future. Keep up the good work from a very happy Keith in the UK."

Not bad,

By jfhfjyuui5rwe

"Because I did not have enough wit to come in out of the snow when I was a kid my hands may have had some nerve damage or something because they get cold long before the rest of me. That being said these gloves kept my hands pretty warm on the five or six hunts they were used. They are a little bulky but not so much you can't shoot with them on. All in all a good product."

They run small!,
December 23, 2008
By Cactus5479
from Northern Virginia
|
"I ordered a large, which is the size I normally wear. The Dry-Plus fleece gloves in large that I ordered at the same time fit correctly. The Camoskins in large were so small I couldn't get my fingers all the way in the glove and the fingers were very tight. Strongly recommend you order them one size larger than you normally wear. I am returning my large for an XL pair. Standy by for further news."

Keep you warm,
December 22, 2008
By usfdriver
from Marana, AZ
|
"These were a little tighter than expected but they loosened up nicely after a couple days of use. They were warmer than my older pair of lighter thinsulate gloves and kept the fingers warm enough in 20-30 degree weather. I was pleased with the ability to still be able to dig into my pockets and use zippers without having to remove the gloves."
