personal pontoon,September 2, 2009

"I love it. you have to inflate it totlaly to get the full benifits. I was a little afraid to pump it up real tight but that when it worked the best. I was surprised how fast I could go up stream in slower current it's lots of fun and very stable"

Creek Co XR Pontoon,August 17, 2009
By rojose55from Hebe Springs, Ar.
"This boat is easy to assemble and inflate. I had it out of the box, assembled and ready for the water in 25 mnutes , by myself. Boat rides high on the water and is very stable. A little difficult to reach the rear mount for a trolling motor, but eliminated the problem by adding a swivel underneath the seat."

the Perfect fishing boat on the class 1-2 river,August 9, 2009
By paddle9from Thundering Herd country - WV
"Great boat to fish the class 1-2 rivers. I haven't tried any class 3 stuff yet, but the boat is very comfortable on most water so far - mostly smallmouth streams in WV such as the Elk, New and Greenbrier rivers.
Some of the hardware seems a bit flimsy such as the valves, oar locks and oars. The frame is heavy steel, but started to show some rust after the first trip at the connections.
I think this boat will serve its purpose for me though. I wanted a fishing boat with room for a couple rods, cooler, tacke, and storage still. This has that. I wanted something to float the small rapids. This does that comfortably.
I rated it 4 stars because I think you get a lot of boat for the money. We will see how it holds up and how Creek Company handles any problems."

Super Sport XR,August 3, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Prescott, AZ
"The Creek Company Super Sport XR Inflatable Pontoon is an inexpensive, comfortable and durable product which has enabled me to present bait to fish deeper than I could fishing from shore. These hot summer months are sending trout deeper but they can't hide from me and my Super Sport XR"

Great Buy!,July 27, 2009
By nabowhunterfrom Tennessee
"I have used my Creek Company Pontoon three times on river floats over the past two weeks. I have been very pleased with the raft. Very sturdy and easy to maneveur.
The rigid rack is one of the best things about this pontoon. Most others in this price range have a mesh rack and will not hold as much gear."

So Far, So Good,July 26, 2009
By Mtneermikefrom Beckley, WV
"I bought two Super Sport XR's, one for my (62 year old dad) who's barely ever been in a boat in his life and one for me as a Father's Day gift so we could still fish together but at the same time cover more water than wading. I have a little experience with boats but I was a little worried about dad. He navigated that New River in WV like a champ. As a matter of fact he ended up catching the biggest smallmouth of his life that day and that made everything worth it to me. We weren't in any commercial whitewater or anything but that 7 mile trip from the dam in Hinton to Sandstone Falls had some pretty choppy water in places. Dear ol' dad came out slick as a whistle on the other side (in my opinion) thanks to those 9 ft. pontoons. This boat allows you to sit low on the water (excellent for swift current) yet also, the pontoons ride higher than expected for minimum abrasion of the nylon fabric while moving over shallower water. I did notice some slight scratches to the nylon covering over the pontoon bladder. This is probably normal due to the shallow and swift currents that we hit from time to time. As a precaution, I plan to reinforce the nylon with glued on nylon material. The waters around here are rough for any boat but the XR came through on it's trial run with flying colors. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes to take float fishing trips on the river."
