Our Tourney Trail® rod series is one of Cabela's best sellers. We've completely redesigned it to give customers a more sensitive-feeling rod for their money. We introduced small, yet strong, aluminum-oxide guides that are perfectly sized and wrapped to the new steel-blue blanks in a seamless bond. Heavy-duty graphite reel seats with cushioned hoods secure your reel. Screw-down locking fore grips were added to eliminate exposed threads when the reel is snugged. We also added higher-quality cork handles to make casting for fish more comfortable. All Tourney Trail rods are built around IM7 100% graphite blanks that have fast tip-sensitive actions. Limited two-year warranty.

A beautiful and light rod...,May 12, 2009
By Ahgigifrom New England
"I just got my new Tourney Trail casting rod. I can't believe I had paid so little for it. The rod is very light and feels sensitive. The blue finish is just beautiful to look at. It's hard to find a 2-piece casting rod let along finding one with the action I like. Not only does Cabela makes this casting rod in 2-piece, the action is almost perfect for my taste. This will be my No. 1 casting rod from now on."
"Very good rod for the price. The feel, weight anp power is good."

great rod,February 21, 2009

"I looked at all the bc rods at cabelas and unless you spend $200 plus, this is about as good as you can get. The finish is a step above what you often see from teh cabelas rods with perfect wraps and a very handsome blue color with silver accents. I love teh action as well as the smaller buttdiameter and the exposed blank under the indec finger grip. It matches well with my new abu garcia c4 6600 in terms of weight. The guides are good quality as is the reel seat. The cork is b grade, but I am used to the cork on my scott fly rods and teh rings that I order for my bamboo rod making, so I am a bit spoiled - no large voids , but some filler. cork par for the price range. The butt wraps are surprisingly well done and not garish like the pro guide ones and the finish is a rish satin. I wish they would make a 8 foot or so walleye action rod in this blank. I got the tc665-2 for line weight 8-17 and lures 1/4-1oz and it is appropriate for the western res fishing for all but the smallest trout which I would then use my ultralight spinning on, while I would feel more than fine on a musky as well"
