Packing plenty of power into shorter length, the Tight Quarters Rods (TQR) excel in all those places where longer
rods can be overkill. Now you can challenge those streams and creeks choked with heavy cover and find new
fish-catching opportunities. The TQR's precision will be put to good use when the difference between hooking a fish
and snagging a limb is a matter of inches. Although shorter, each rod has the backbone to turn a hard-charging fish,
and is still limber enough to protect fine tippets. These advantages are critical and not something you will find in
most shorter rods. The moderate-fast action is forgiving with a reserve of extra power when you need it. Cork reel
seats and single-foot guides increase weight reduction. Two nuts on the reel seat lock the reel securely in place.
Includes rod tube.

6' TQR Fly rod,July 6, 2009
By BrianNColoradofrom Colorado Springs
"My wife bought me the 6' TQR on the recommendation of my brother. I had been looking for a smaller rod to use on small rivers and creeks where an 8' rod is very difficult to handle. I had found rods in specialty shops for $500 and up, but could not justify that kind of expense. The Cabela's TQR rod has proven to be very well made and an excellent value. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a tight quarters rod. I would put this rod up against much more expensive models."

3 wt. TQR fly rod 7'6" (764-3),May 11, 2009
By USNpilotfrom South Carolina
"This medium action rod is as good as any, bar none. Price is extremely good and the construction is great. Everyone has been impressed when they've seen it. It also balances well when reel is on it and casts beautifully. Keep up the good work Cabela's!"

Very Pleased,May 4, 2009
By benjaminkh182from Morgantown, West Virginia
"I was very pleased with this rod. I was anxious to open the box and I was not dissapointed with the looks of the rod. I took the rod on its virgin outing to a native brook trout stream that is no bigger than 15foot from bank to bank. The rod performed well and it lived up to its name as I indeed did fish it in some TightQuarters. The 7'6'' rod in line weight 3 delivers pinpoint accuracy. A whole lot of value for a rod costing a whole lot less than some competitors."

A grave disappointment...,April 10, 2009
By Olvr
"I purchased the 5' 2 weight after hearing very favorable reviews of the Clear Creek rods from Cabelas (now discontinued). I liked the idea of a short rod for small stream situations and the light rod with cork grip and reel seat. The rod is designated a 2 weight but failed to load until I put on a 5 weight line. A person can understand a line weight designation being off by one weight either way, but going from 2 to 5 is completely unacceptable and misleading. The rod cast very poorly even with a 5 weight line and I ended up returning it."

"Snowed in with a bad case of cabin fever and I'm trying out my new TQR rod from my lazyboy. Roll casts in my living room are promising along with good fit and finish. This rod is made for the Two Hearted and Fox."

i love it,March 12, 2009
By troutbum82from Northern Nevada
"This is an awesome rod. It casts amazingly and has the backbone to fight large trout. I bought the 7'6" 3wt. and just love it. I have no complaints just lots of praise for the TQR. Wait untill you place an Elk Hair with it... you'll fall in love as well."

"the butt end fell off when putting a reel on. I had to to epoxy it back on, very disappointed for the amount I paid. Most items from cabelas are better quality. I hate having to return items that is why I fixed it myself. Thank goodness it did not happen while fishing!!!"
