bad for fletchings,
September 3, 2008
By NewwoodNimrod

"This arrow rest made my fletchings wavy and they eventually started to rip, but i shot good groupings with it and it did totally contain my arrow. I would suggest a fall-away rest, but If your willing to go through alot of arrows then this is the rest for you."

noisy,

By idahobowhntr

"the gap where the arrow goes into the rest in my opinion is the weak point in this rest. when you shoot it vibrates like crazy and makes all kinds of noise, also it is dusty where i live and dirty arrows and a WB make a really bad screeching noise. the accuracy was ok but if the animal hears that loud vibrating noise it doesnt really matter how accurate you are any ways. i have replaced it with a G5 and it is the best move i have ever made."

A Great Rest,
April 15, 2008
By lacurra
from Johnstown, NY
|
"I have a Bear Truth bow with the Whisker Biscuit on it and my bow is always the quietest one at the range. People are always commenting on how quiet my bow is. The rest holds the arrow nicelyand I don't have to worry about it coming off when I draw back. While you may lose a little bit of speed, it is not a noticable amount and the benefits far outweigh that lose. This is a wonderful rest for my bow and one that i would gladly buy again."

A good rest,
March 26, 2008
By mattairgutarst
from Windlake, WI

"Overall, i really like this rest. I started hunting with a really old wooden warthog a few years ago. It had a shoot around or flipper rest, and i shot pretty good (about a 4 inch group from 20 yards). At the end of last year, i put this whisker biscuit on, and my grouping got a lot better (about 2 inch and 20 yards). So a great improvement for an old bow. This year I got a Fred Bear bow. It shoots about 305 fps, and my fletching got ripped up, bad, by the "whiskers". So i would recommend this for anyone with an older bow looking to improve accuracy, or someone with plastic vanes."

"This rest rocks! i love whisker buiscut. your arrow will never fall out. its amazing. doesnt seem to slow my speed down at all. just helps me shoot 3" groups at 35 yards.. its up to you. Get a whisker buiscut and have great accuracy and every good thing you could ask for in a rest, or get a different rest that has problems. your choice :)"

Great Compared to the Alternatives,

By lgguy

"I have used this rest for three years on a slow bow and now on a faster Mathews bow. The only complaint is the minor damage to vanes but if you sight in and shoot with this rest you will get excellent results. Speed is way over-hyped, it's accuracy that counts more. Use it with confidence!"

The stalkers rest,
January 21, 2008
By Southernbuckeye
from Ohio

"This rest was very easy to tune and you never have to worry about your arrow not being in place and ready to shoot while stalking. I don't feel that you lose enough speed on your arrow to worry about and it is as accurate as any other rest I have ever used."

Best hunting rest,
November 16, 2007
By LabradorBowHunter
from Churchill Falls, Labrador, Canada
|
"Never have to worry about the arrow falling off the rest while stalking game. Very adjustable for tuning. If you read the instructions and shoot with the odd vane up so as to shoot around the black, more dense area at the bottom of the rest, your arrow will shoot straight as any other rest. A must have hunting rest!"

Rookie Rest,
November 12, 2007
By ad537
from Forest, Va
|
"I bought this rest last season before going on bear hunt in Canada. Short on time needed something easy to set up a shoot heard plenty of positives on product. Took about 4 shots to get bullet holes in paper, was pleased with results sighted in bow. The rest holds the arrow in place but is very noisy upon draw and shot. I returned from trip and got out chronograph, shot several shots to realize I had lost around 25 ft in speed compared to my broken drop away. On cold mornings twice as loud. Rest is good for beginners, it is durable, would due fine for average bow hunter shooting unsuspecting doe's."

Very Scepticle at first......,
September 19, 2007
By Anonymous
from Houma, Louisiana
|
"Very scepticle at first, broke down and made the change from a tm hunter rest to the drop tine wisker and it is the best decision I have made. The only regret I have is not doing it sooner. I have also switched from alum. arrows to carbon. I have found the arrow flight is faster, straighter and my grouping is much tighter. On my second group of shooting were so tight I shattered a brand new carbon arrow at 20 yds (guess you can say robin hooded it). I couldn't do that at less than 10yds with alum. (I tried it). I have more confidence now than I have had in the past. No worry's about arrow falling off the rest (had that problem with a big buck 15 yards from me and its quiet on the draw back as well. This is a best buy you won't be sorry."
