Cabela's Watershed Fly Reels

Lightweight, durable and built for anglers wanting superior drag performance and aesthetics. Constructed out of 6061-T6 proprietary aluminum alloy, it's fully machined as a one-piece frame and one-piece spool. The drag system is fabricated from Delrin?-impregnated Teflon? that is heat-resistant, self-lubricating and maintenance-free. The drag is sensitive, precise and capable of protecting light tippets when tangling with trophy-class fish. Each reel is made with a specific diameter and width to maximize the properties of drag consistency and to speed line retrieval. Oil-impregnated bronze bushings mated to a stainless steel spindle allow the spool to rotate smoothly. Three sizes for line weights three through eight. Made in USA.

"I was shocked to see someone writing a negative review for this reel. I have several of these and they are great reels. The drag knob is plastic but is made of a high impact material that is light weight and very durable. The bronze spool bushing has lubrication impregnated into it so it never requires any oil or lubrication. The staff at Cabela's confirmed the reel is machined out of 6061 bar stock aluminum when I spoke with them. I would not hesitate to recommend this reel to anyone."

"Wanting to buy a large arbor reel for my 7wt rod and not wanting to break the bank ,I decided to purchase this reel from Cabelas. The price was good and it being on sale made it easier to make a decision. But upon recieving it and taking a good look at it, you will notice that the drag knob is made of cheap plastic ,not something you would find on reel costing around the same price.Cabalas says that it is made of 6061 aluminum,I own reels that are made of this type of aluminum, this one does not match up. Also when taking the spool apart ,you will see that the spindle bushing is only bronze and that the drag looks like it is made of plastic. I sent mine back being disapointed with the quality and decided to wait until I could afford a quality reel that will last along time."
