great sonar - whimpy bracket,November 4, 2009
By xpditer
"I fish the offshore rips where the water is routinely rough and turbulent. When I'm underway the sonar unit vibrates excessively. The bracket definitely needs to be redesigned. Otherwise, the unit has worked as advertised. Excellent display."

Awesome sonar on devils lake,August 25, 2009
By jrfishermanfrom Devils Lake, ND
"bought this sonar in the spring. I've only been fishing for a few years but with this sonar I've had no problem finding the fish. I had a different brand sonar before and never knew if i was looking at fish or not. No doubt about it with this one. I would recomend this to my friends but its nice to be out fishing without a lot of boats next to me. happy fishing"

Lowrance HDS 5,May 27, 2009
By JayDJfrom Connecticut
"I purchased this unit primarily because of the display. I find it very easy to read even is sunlight. The colors really help with defining what you are looking at on the screen. Because you can define the bottom of the lake with a line you know that all above that line is some kind of structure or fish. With the color it is easy to tell fish from rocks, brush, weeds or wood. I didn't need the GPS because I have an H20 handheld with the lake maps for my area. I am impressed and happy with the unit. It probably has more functions than I will ever use, however the display is what impresses me."

Almost as good as they say it is,March 24, 2009
By CPCPfrom Wisconsin
"I have used this unit only 6 or 8 times so far but is seems to do everything they claim it does. I have found that the sonar is exceptionally good at reveling different types of structure. The menu functions are similar to other Lowrance units and easy to use. A good overall value for the price."
