The Speed Breech™ plug can be removed with only a quarter turn. Snap on the wrench, turn 90° and pull it out. It's that fast and easy. No cleaning
needed, and 95% of the fouling is eliminated thanks to three gas compression rings similar to those found on a piston in a gas engine. The Speed Breech does not get seized like other breech designs due to its unique opposing series of locking lugs which are similar to those found on a howitzer cannon. It is practical innovations like this that
takes the work out of the hunt. The Triumph is simple to operate, easy to load and quick to clean. The toggle-lock action allows you to break the gun open and get tip-up access to the barrel. It's also dead-on accurate thanks to the the patented Quick Load Accurizor™. The QLA allows the shooter to quickly and easily load their rifle by
incorporating a false muzzle design into the barrel of the rifle. Includes a solid aluminum Rugged Rod™. Fiber-optic sights let you put your shot right on the target with ease. Triumph, leader in innovation and ease of use.,July 13, 2009
By MNHuntfrom Rochester, MN
"My Triumph is as easy to use as it is a pleasure to use. At first I will admit it was difficult to use a saboted bullet until I found the right combination. To all the reviews that I have read about how tight/ impossible it is to load, do not get discouraged. Harvester crush rib sabots are the answer! You will not get a second bullet to seat if you use a certain powder no matter what sabot you use but if you use Blackhorn 209 you will find the bullet/sabot combo will go down the barrel with little resistance. The Triumph is so easy to break down and clean. Definately worth the money."

Thompson/Center Triumph® .50-Caliber,March 8, 2009
By Hossymanfrom I hunt Texas and Ohio
"I purchased this rifle at the beginnig of the 08 season to replace my old trusty TC Hawkin. I added the Nikon 3-9 BDC which is a perfect match. I am not reviewing the scope other than to say just get it, PERIOD. After boresighting, it took me only 3 rounds to consistantly nail the center at 100 yards, using 100 gn of pellets and the 250 gn sabot. I then shot at 250 yds using the same buller/powder setup and using the drop circles on the BDC, and was still holding a 2" group in a strong cross wind. You can bump the load up to 150 gns, but after seeing the results from my sighting in, I decided it was not worth the extra kick or powder. I am giving this rifle a 5 because it simply does its job. The removable breach plug is great for all the obvious reason. Do yourself a favor and lube the plug and barrel threads with the grease prior to firing the first shot. Make this a part of your cleaning routine. If you fail to lube it, it is difficult at best to remove the plug, even with the provided wrench, especially when a scope is mounted. If you lube it, your fingers are all you will need. And yes, the rifle earned its keep the first time out. I dropped a 10 point at about 170 yards dead in its tracks."

By mrose120from Letcher KY
"This Muzzleloader is the best I have ever shot. I equipped it with a NIkon Omega scope and it has been great. 1" group at 100 yards. Havent got to shoot at a deer as of yet, the weather has been horrible. If you purchase this muzzleloader you will not be dissapointed!"
