"These pants are ideal for spring and fall fishing. Minnesota weather changes in minutes. It's nice to have the versatility to leave shore in cool shorts, and then zip on the legs when the wind picks up. And there's nothing worse than going out when its rainy, only to have the sun come up, the humidity go through the roof, and you're stuck in bulky jeans or pants."

"When I saw these pants in the catalog I thought they are too inexpensive to be any good. However they had many of the features that interested me for salmon fishing in Canada. It has turned out that these are the best fishing pants that I have ever owned. They are tough yet soft and flexible. They dry in an instant and the zip off feature just makes the day. These pants can be rolled in a ball and stuffed in a back pack taking up very little space. I would highly recommend these pants to anyone."

"I found these pants at several local retailers and each had the same problem. These pants were only available in a 32" length. I was pleased to see that I could order a 30" length.
Since I had seen these at other retailers, I was sure about the waist size. The material doesn't seem to be as smooth as my Cabela's zip-off pants, however, I like the Columbia zippers on the legs better than the Cabela's.
You can see that a lot of thought went into the design of these pants, however, the cargo pockets are on top of the front pockets and items in the front pockets have to compete for space with the cargo pockets. I am not sure why the cargo pockets weren't placed on the side of the legs. I have to be careful when I place things in the cargo pockets, since items that are thin and flat seem to work best."

"I got my Aruba III 50 UPF Fishing Pants today. They are nice in fit. Typically I wear 32"x 32" but these are 30" x 30" and work well. The waste is cinched and has no fly. You can swim in these like swim trunks. I have really gotten used to knit underliners and in the tropics they are most comfortable. These are going to Aruba in December for a 2 weeks "fisherama" with my friends. Good fishing clothes are a must for protection and comfort just as in any other sport."

Based on the sizing chart in the Cabelas catalog, I ordered the XL pant size for a 42 inch waist, but it was too small. I had to upgrade to the XXL 46" waist, to fit my 42" frame.
Otherwise no problems. Also good for those hot days on the amusement park rides when you get drenched!"

"I wore Cabela's Signature Zip-Off Pants for eight days in Costa Rica and found them very practical. When zipped off, they were cool in the hot climate because they are quite short. The main pockets are very deep; the front and back flap pockets have sturdy velcro fasteners. The nylon fabric stays clean looking as it tends not to pick up stains, and it dries rapidly. These pants provide warmth at night combined with coolness during the day while being very lightweight, which is important when traveling. Also, the snapping belt buckle is convenient. These pants have high quality construction."
