"For the money this scope performs very well. I placed it up against several more exspensive scopes of various top brand names, and I have to tell you that the clarity of this one to my surprise, was equal or better. The reticle is a little different and some don't like it because of the 150yd dot in between the crosshairs and the 200yd line. In my opinion this breaks it up and makes it easy to determin the range you want to use in the heat of the moment. Good luck & good hunting."

"my son just got marlins new 338 special with pine ridge,s 35 whelen range finder scope, and he got great results with the scope out to 3 hundred yards. so i got the slugger ext and i got real good results out to 2 hundred yards ."

"This scope is very clear,appears to be well made,and has a price tag that cant be beat.....I wasnt upset or shocked about what other reviews said about the reticle...I like how its setup with the crosshairs,then dot,then another smaller crosshairs. I would have given 5 stars but I have to wait to see if it holds up from the punishment of a slug gun after many,many shots. Overall it is a great slug gun scope."

"I like the looks of this scope. I have not had a chance to shoot with it yet but it has plenty of eye relief which is more or less what I was after. I don't really care for the black dot used for the 150 yard mark. I think that a thin crosshair would have been better --just like the 200 yard mark."

"The only thing that kept this product from getting a 5 star was the reticle. Not what was expected compared to othere BDC type scopes. Expectation was a reticle simular to the many BDC type scopes on the market. This was a set of Crosshairs then below the intersection of both crosshairs a dot, then below that a horizontal line across the vertical cross hair. Totally unexpected and unconventional. Would not have been as disappointed had a picture of the reticle been in the catalog. It bothered me so much I considered a 3 star rating. The idea is simple distance ranging. Why mix lines with dots two dots or two lines giving consistancy would have made more sence. The one dot is easily overlooked by your eye seeing two horizontal lines above and below.
Once focused the clearity is as good as any scope at twice the price. Only put about 15 slugs through the shotgun since purchase to get it sighted in. If the durability is as good as the clearity I would expect a long life and happy hunting for many years. The price was right and a value for the money if you can get past the unusual reticle. Just be aware it may not be what you expect the first time you look through it. No problems and would consider purchasing another except I have problems getting past the reticle issue. Don't like supprises, unconventionality. like show me the reticle in the catalog or on the web site so you get what you expect."

"NOT A BAD LITTLE SCOPE FOR THE MONEY!!! AFTER JUST A VISUAL BORE SIGHT, IT TOOK JUST A FEW SHOTS TO GET IT ON TARGET @ 50YDS. THEN A FEW MORE TO CHECK IT @100YDS. I TOOK A WILD HOG W/ A HEAD SHOT @ 47YDS ON ITS 1ST TRIP TO THE FIELD MOUNTED TO AN ENCORE W/20GA, W/ HORNADY SST AMMO. THE SCOPE GAVE ENOUGH ADDITIONAL BRITENESS TO MAKE A TWILITE SHOT THAT I COULD NOT HAVE MADE W/OPEN SIGHTS. IF THE SCOPE HOLDS UP TO THE PUNISHMENT THAT A SLUG GUN DISHES OUT, THEN IT'S WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I WOULD SUGGEST THAT CABELAS LIST THE APPROPRIATE SIZED AFTER MARKET SCOPE COVERS THAT WOULD FIT THIS. I HATE THE BUNGEE CORD COVERS SUPPLIED AND WOULD HAVE ORDERED THE FLIP UP COVERS AT THE SAME TIME I ORDERED THE SCOPE IF THAT INFO WAS AVAILABLE!!"

"This scope is very clear and mounted up nice but, the description of the scope is wrong. On the description online said sight at 50 yards then you would have one at 100, 150, and 200. but you have to sight it at 100 yards then you only have 150 and 200 after that. there are only 3 aim points not 4. i was a little disappointed about that since most shots of a shotgun are less than 75 yards. But other than that it looks like its going to be a good scope. they need to change the description."
