"I bouth my first one for my 1999 Merc. 8 hp 2-stroke and worked excellent but.... then it stop working. I returned it got an other one. I called the company that made it and told them about the problem. They said put grease on the connections. I PUT GREASE on the connects to stop water from getting onto it like mfg told me to do and no more problems :o) Ever since then. The unit works excellent without any problems. If you troll. its a must have. Just make sure you put the grease onto the plug connetions (all connections) ( I used car light-bulb greas cost is $1.25 and put 2 times a year from any autoparts store) or it will fail and will not work with lots of cleaning the connections or exchanging. I fish Lake Eire in Michigan/ troll for Big Walleyes and Lake Hurnon for Big Samon"

"If you troll with a kicker motor that has remote throttle control, you gotta get one of these. Installation was just a slight challenge as the directions were a little off for my yamaha T-8. But overall, I'm quite pleased."

"I will never buy another one of this companies throttle controls. The first one, used lightly over three years died. The second one I ordered did not work out of the box. Sent it back to Cabelas immediately, they sent a replacement, that was less than five months ago. Today, planned to troll and the unit does not work. Will call company to see about warranty replacement or repair, but meanwhile, no trolling unless I do it the old way. I have never been so disappointed with the reliability of a product as I have with this one."

"Installed the Digital Trollmaster Pro 2 in about an hour with 3 basic hand tools. EASY
Have been out and used it on three seperate occasions and has work great. Makes adjusting your trolling speed a breeze.
I would reccomend this product to anyone that regurally trolls with a small outboard motor(kicker)."
