Not as supportive as I hoped,

"I purchased the frame and used my own airbed. The bed is held in by a few straps and when I was lying on it, it felt soft and not supportive. I did not keep it. It might be more useful for a child."

Good for an overnight- no longer,
October 12, 2009

"I have had my folding air frame for a few years now. It's great for an overnight but like other users the straps do not provide enough support and the posts will dig into your back.
To make the bed frame comfy I place a foam mattress topper down before I put on the fitted sheet. Like other users my sheets will pop off the mattress frame so sheet straps are a must!
Like all air mattress products they will transmit cold air- make sure you at least put down fleece or wool blankets before you put on your sheets. This will prevent heat loss on those frosty nights!"

Perfect Temp Solution *Elevated*,
September 18, 2009
By PrinceS

"We couldn't be happier with this product. Planned on using it for overnighters but mother in law visited for 3 weeks and slept great! It looks like a normal bed once assembled and fitted with bedding which is much nicer to present than a pad on the floor. The carry case is sturdy, soft sided and wheeled which was a pleasant surprise. We will be using this for camping from now on also since the air mattress is well protected and quite frankly the slimmer models are cheaper to replace than the taller 18-24 in size we have been using."

Folding AIr Bed Frame,
September 12, 2009
By scubadiversteve

"This Item was very easy to set up. However, the Air bed we used has the no slip topping to help bedding stay in place, and the air bed frame has a pocket that the bed is slid into to keep it on the frame. This pocket has a very slippery nylon top that feels like parachute material.Needless to say the bedding was off in a matter of seconds. Also, the first night we used ours was fairly cold. The air bed frame is open on the bottom, and allowed the cold air to come in from underneath and the bed was freezing cold all night long. In mild climates, or indoors I think this product would work a lot better. Great for when company comes over and you need additional sleeping space."

Lacking Stability,

By music123

"Found the ordered frame nicely packaged but after setting it up with air mattress, decided there was no way it could support the weight advertised. After set up with air mattress found that the center of my mattress concaved inward The support staps underneath were flimsy. We felt it would have been suitable for a child but our need was for my visiting father. Had to return the product. Overall, my experience buying from your company was pleasant and I won't hesitate to shop with you again."

"The first one we had, broke a plastic connector after 5 years of use, not bad. We liked it so well we purchased another. Somehow sleeping in a tent doesn't seem so bad since we have had this product. I will upgrade my rating if this one lasts as long."

FOLDING BED FRAME IS FANTASTIC!,
September 9, 2009
By ReverendLayne
from San Jose, CA

"Some time ago, I purchased an inflatable air mattress to accommodate out-of-town visitors and guests. What I neglected to purchase however, was a frame that would lift the mattress off the floor! I contacted the manufacture only to discover that they had discontinued their bed frame. Luckily, they referred me to Cabela and I could not be happier!
The folding bed frame arrived via standard delivery method in short order. The most difficult process was opening the box to get the product out of the carton. I seem to recall in their advertisement claiming it only takes "10 seconds" to set the frame up. I beg to differ... it takes about 8 seconds. It is extremely easy to use and put away when finished.
Our guest indicated that her night's sleep was fantastic. The bed frame made for easy access into bed as well as getting out of bed.
I am a happy camper -- and so was my guest! Thank you Cabela for making my on-line purchase so easy and delivering a product that exceeds my expectations."

Queen air mattress frame,
August 31, 2009
By Rattler2001
|
"I bought this for a long camping trip in the wilderness. Look's great ,easy to set up. But on the second night , a lot of the screw's popped out that hold the mesh strapping to the legs. Which in turn caused my air mattress to be puntured, Then a few of the legs bent. So needless to say i would avoid this product at all cost. IM in sales and this is the first time i had to put a bad rating on something i bought. Very disappointing"

Folding Air Bed Frame,

"What a great product. Our granddaughter was coming to visit and we needed a bed for her and I wanted the air mattress up off the floor. I ordered this product and it unfolds easily and packs up in a nice neat zipper bag that fits in the closet. It has a zipper compartment where the air mattress slides in to hold it in place. I would highly recommend this product."

Not such a good item,
August 12, 2009
By campinginPA

"I go camping each year for two weeks, so a comfortable bed is a must.
Although sturdy, compact and easy to fold/unfold, this collapsible air mattress frame is not a great idea unless you have a firm air mattress on it. Unless the mattress is leak free and stays very firmly inflated, this frame is not at all comfortable. The frame has points that will dig into your back, ribs and head.
My air mattress had been used twice before I put in this frame and I woke up too the most uncomfortable sleeping spot ever. Not recommended."

"Finally found a frame to get our air bed off the floor! We use if for unexpected company and they love being able to "get into bed" rather than crawling in and out on the floor. It is very strudy and set up/take down is a breeze. I highly recommend this product."

Broken first time used,

"My wife and I pulled the frame out of its bag and thought this would be cool not to be on the ground BUT upon unfolding found one of the support legs that is supposed to be attached to the feet was not attached to the foot, so it couldnt be used as it would have put a hole in the bottom of the tent.
We'll have to return it and maybe try another?"

So far so good!,

"We have only used the frame once so far, but it worked just as intended. My mother and father were visiting and we needed to get the air matress off the floor since my mother was recovering from two broken ankles and my father from back surgery. They came close to maxing out the 500 lb. capacity but it worked well for their week-long stay."

The good and the bad...,
February 5, 2009
By SueMW
from Fort Wayne, IN

"The frame is very sturdy and comes with a nice wheeled case. The nylon sack keeps the mattress on the frame really well, but the nylon is so slippery that your sheet slide off the mattress if you move during the night. Making the mattress enclosure out of something less slippery or putting a non-slip material on the top would have made this perfect."

air mattress frame,

"The grandkids use a twin air mattress to sleep on when they come for weekends. I bought my air mattress ( a Coleman that has lasted a few years now) before they came out with the ones that make them the same height as a regular bed. I wanted this capability and when I looked on the internet this frame came up. I've only used it once so far but it seems to serve the purpose beautifully. It's really well made for the fairly inexpensive price, seems to support the air mattress well - the zippered top completely surrounds the air mattress and keeps it in place - and folds up compactly (in it's storage case) so storing it isn't a problem. My nine year old grandson loved it!"
