"I had heard these bullets blow up on impact after I had purchased them but they grouped better than anything else I had shot out of this gun. I was getting consistant 3 shot cloverleafs at 100 yards with a Tikka T3 in 7mm-08 so we decided to give them a try. This was to be my 13 year old daughters deer gun. She made a awesome shot on her
first deer. The shot was right at 300 yards . It took only one well placed bullet to bring down the 3 point buck in his tracks. I was very impressed when I field dressed the animal to see that the lungs were destroyed and the bullet had passed through. We will continue to use the 140 grain Ballastic SilverTip in this rifle."

Great Round,

"I have been using this round for some time in my Ruger .270 Win and these rounds are very accurate through my rifle and have great expansion. I have shot several whitetail of varying sizes and the result is the same. BOOM and drop. I recently began using this round through my AR-15 in .223 and I have shot three deer with this round this season and this round works very well at taking white tail as well. Most people think a .223 is rather small to be shooting deer. NOT WITH THIS ROUND I shot a running doe yesterday at 40 yards and it went in at an angle just behind her right shoulder and went out her chest and she went strait down and that was it. These rounds are awesome I wont shoot anything else unless I am just at the range plinking....

"I have used this ammo for the last thrre years and will not use any other in 30-06 i have killed 10 deer 2 elk and 7 wild hogs none has gone more than 20 ft. after taking a hit from this stuff. with great tight shot groups and a good hard hit over 300yds stop looking and load up on this"

Bad Batch,

"Bought a new .300 win mag and took it to the range to sight it in, and every shot the case was stuck in the barrel, some times having to use a lot of force to get the bolt open. Thought it was maybe the gun so I took it to a gunsmith to check and the gun was fine so we examined the rounds and each round had powder residue between the bullet and the case. The gunsmith said they were hot loads and to send them back to Winchester. I sent back 5 boxes 2 weeks ago, hopefully they will correct this, I've shot these in my other caliber rifles with great success."

Better than Accubond for Whitetail,

"I have used several different types of upper-grade ammo and am very impressed with the silver-tips. They do a better job of dropping the whitetail deer than the Accubond (red-tip), which I was using prior. The red-tips might be better on elk, but here in Florida, the silver-tips are the best ammo I have used for deer."

"Went to Wyoming with a Savage 116 .25-06 and this ammo. It calls for a 200 yard zero and I got a two inch group at that range. I killed a mule deer buck at 100 yards and two pronghorn does at about 200 yards. The muley didn't go 15 yards and piled up. The first antelope doe went about 40 yards but sprayed out a four inch wide blood trail the whole way. The second one simply slumped dead on impact. Utter devastation. I'm done looking around. This is my deer hunting ammo."

"I have been using these in 300 wsm for about 7 years. 1 shot and down. Always a through and through shot. They don't break up like cheap ammo. You get what you pay for and these are worth it. If someone says they are not good they are buying the cheaper silver boxes not the
supremes. I have my brother and my friend on these and we all love them."

"I have been shooting this ammo in my 30-06 for three years now and have yet to have a whitetail take so much as one step after the shot. Even with bad shot placement (gut shot) the deer still fall in their tracks. I have also taken two black bear using these rounds with excellent results."

Poor accuracy in M77 MkII .300WM,

"I'v compared Federal Fusion, Win Ballistic Silvertip, and Win Super-X in my Ruger M77 MkII chambered in .300 Win Mag. The best I can shoot with the Win Ballistic Silvertip results in a vertical spread of at least three inches at 100 yards. In contrast, I'm consistently shooting one-inch four round groups at 100 yards with the Fusion, often with consecutive shots touching. I made these comparisons by shooting each type of ammo back-to-back on several different days between January and July 2009.
I would have given this ammo a lower score but:
1. I realize that each rifle may prefer different ammo. My rifle does not group well with WBST.
1. My FIL has had success with this ammo in his Ruger M77 in .338WM. It holds at least minute of deer at 100 yards and the bullet performs well. For the price, though, I would expect better accuracy"

"i shoot a 300wsm and i hunt in western south dakota were long distance shoots happen often. i struggled to find a shell that was extremly accurate at long distance. i bought these shells and went out to the target range and was impressed. in a sled i could shoot a four inch group at six hundred yards. so i took them with me whitetail hunting and i stumbled across a buck feeding in an open wheat field with no way to stalking on him from the trees i was in. the buck ranged 563 yards and when the shell hit it droped him instantly. the shell has no weight retension but when it hits it packs a punch. all in all if you are looking for a long distance shell that passes them all this is the best one i have found."
