"I have a mossberg 500 slugster w/ nikon slughunter scope. Tried sabot slugs - Hornaday, lighfield, Remington (copper soild), federal, and winchester xp3's. By far the winchester xp3's outperformed them all. With this gun, scope, and slug I can drive nails a 150 yards. My range wont allow me to shot farther. I CANT WAIT FOR 2009 HUNTING SEASON..."

Best slug I have ever shot, February 10, 2009

"Since I started using these slugs 2 years ago in a Remington 870 express w/scope, I have killed 8 deer with them and never needed a second shot with any of them. Including 1 at 150 yards and 2 at 175+ yards. There is about a 5-6 inch drop at 175 yards! I sighted my scope in at 100 yards for these slugs where I was shooting 1 inch groups. This was a pleasent suprise since all other slugs I have used had to be sighted in at 50 yards for best accuracy. I have never seen a straighter flying slug! I do recommend a shooting stick or tripod. I noticed at the range during sighting in the scope, that even the slightest breathing while trying to shoot freehand would cause difference at 100 yards. Well worth the money!!"

"I shot these slugs in my T/C Encore rifled shotgun slug barrel, and they shot great. Slug guns can be tempermental, and mine was with another brand, but these held a great/tight pattern."

"the idea behind the polymer tip sabot slug is excellent however, the XP3 sabot slugs need some more time in R&D !!

shot both Winchester sabot slugs... the BR and the newer XP3 and found the slower 1oz. BR's fly truer and tighter than the poly-tip XP3 ... so the word on the XP3's is " close but no cigar " !!! ... wolfie1955 from Richmond,VA"

"I shot five boxes of these slugs through an 11-87 with remington rifled barrel and luepold shotgun scope. At 50 yards I could hold no pattern what so ever, some shots didn't even hit paper... I will be going back to remingtion slugs without any hesitation.
Biggest Waste of Money..."

"Dropped a nice nine point and doe in their tracks at a 125 yards with my trusty Remington 11-87. They never left the field - incredible stopping power. These are great slugs that are accurate and stable....my shotguns feels like a rifle. The price is nice too."

"I shoot these out of a mossberg 695 and consistently get 1.5" groups at 100yds and <4" groups at 200yds. Last year I harvested a mature management buck(dressed 200+ #'s, 4.5yrs old) at a stepped 204 steps. I have tried several other high end slugs( SST, Fed Premium,hastings,lightfield,brenneke,Win Part Gold,etc and these performed best in my set up."

"I have tested many type slugs over the years. I shot the xp3's in three different slug guns, all with rifled barrels. I did not find them any more accurate or consistant from gun to gun than any other high end ammo. I did not find the high cost worth it."

"At the shooting range the XP3's produced a tighter group at 100 yds, better than slugs at 50yds.

In the field the XP3's dropped deer in there tracks.

My slug gun shoots more like a rifle.

"Tryed these slugs out of my Browning A-Bolt fully rifled slug gun. The gun shoots Hornady SST and Federal Barnes Expanders great at 100 yds. The Winchesters printed all over the target at the same range. Maybe it's the gun, but I don't think so."

"I bought a new 11-87, put on a Leupold VX-1 scope and decided to try out the EXPENSIVE sabots in my new gun. VERY disappointed. I could not get a consistent pattern at all. Shot 25 rounds and was all over the board. I'm going back to the old Lightfields."

"I've
been shooting winchester slugs for the past 5 years, and when I saw the
new Supreme Elite, it seemed to be a no brainer to try it. After
shooting it, I was unable to shoot a good group, and found that the
rounds didn't fly well. I was shooting 3" groups with my hornedy's
sabots. Worst Winchester product ever. Needs to go back to R&D for
some more trial runs before it should be out on the market!"
