"I added a thermarest on top of the cot and had a comfortable sleep every night for almost 2 weeks. It was easly to assemble and the end rack is very adjustable.
I was concerned that the velcro straps holding up the end rack would not be adequate but I was presently surprized by them as they supported the sawed off shotgun (night protection from bears), binoculars, and a variety of clothing with no problem. However, I will most likely create a pin system for use the next time.
A very good product in my opinion."

"They should give this thing away to the homeless and write it off at tax time. It holds my weight but it's very loud when you move. The poles for the tree don't fit together I had to cut off about 1 1/2" of the end so the poles would fit together. Cabela's (product department) should at least take the thing out of the box and try putting it together themselves, before deploying it to the public........"

"This cot is sturdy and a good value for the money. I took the time to drill some holes for screws and wing nuts to attach the cot tree. I like the cot tree but the velcro straps used to attach it to the cot are a weak link. The nylon straps that are used to strap the cross pieces to the cot for storage should have been riveted to the inside edge that holds the nylon grommets, that way the aluminum rivets would not cause wear on the cot bed material. Anyone who has ever set up a military cot knows how hard it can be to strech the last cross piece into place. I found the easiest way to set the last cross piece in place is to stand the cot on end, attach one end of the cross piece to the main frame and use my foot to hold the other side of the cross piece to the ground while lifting and twisting the cot main frame until the two pieces lock in place."
