"The quarter inch screws used to attach the brackets to the
seat base are made from too soft a steel and the phillips head strips out very easily when you try to screw them into the base.
The castings, machining and welds on the armrest brackets were very well done and the upholstery was excellent.
The seats are very sturdy and the price is competitive."

"I ordered a two pair to go with the big man seats and sent all back. They are just too low and I had to slouch to rest my arms. They need to be adjustable or about 4 inches higher."

"I recently purchased two sets of Big Man Arm Rests for my boat seats. They are of excellent quality and very easy to install. As usual Cabela's always gets my orders to me on time. I wish we had a Cabela's in Oregon in the Portland area.

"The armrests are not set to the right heighth, are not adjustable, and are not horizontal to the seat. They come at a strange angle such that you have to choose to have them angeled either up in the air or down towards the boat. Either way, they look stupid installed and are not comfortable."

"The arms are fine - they are solid, match the chair, easy enough to install, etc., but they are too short to be of any real comfort. A large man will find that he will have to slouch considerably in order for his elbows to reach the arms. Alas, they are not height adjustable. Not worth the price."

Armrests are lacking,

"I ordered the big man seat and these matching arm rests to place in a deer stand. The arm rests are about two to three inches two short. I found myself sliding down in the seat to properly sit with the arm supports at the right height. I am 6' 4" and expected more from the rests for a "big man". I have had to take them to a machine shop to lengthen them. I would not recommend these until they are altered in the future."
