"shoes are good shoes for boating, i bought them for use at current river, well not a real good choice because the small rocks get inside of them and almost like walking on river bottom. BUT on the other hand the shoes are wonderfull to knock about at the river just not in the water walking around. they are great feeling shoes and verry durable, and on that note i would purchase again for boating and knock about."

"The Irish Setter Men's Portage Shoes are better than slippers as they have an excellent arch supporting the foot well. The soles last forever even on the treadmill. I now have two pair, one pair for indoors and one for outdoors. They are hard to find and I have only seen them in outdoor stores. No laces to tie and easy to get on."

"I bought these because I was taking a trip to Florida and my sandals have seen better days and I thought these could work double duty. I found that they were always full of sand and if they get wet they take more than a day to dry out. I am going to see if they work any better for canoeing this summer. Hopefully so."
