Casting practice anywhere.,July 28, 2009
By BloomerJMfrom Kansas City, MO
"This rod is well made and works as advertised. Since I don't live close enough to fishable (moving) water it's nice to keep up at home. The rod loads and casts just like a full size rod with normal line, and the yarn leader grips carpet like a normal leader does water."

Practice Rod,May 4, 2009
By Oregonflyfishermanfrom Oregon
"While it is not quite the same as using your rod and reel on the stream or river it is the next best thing. I can use it in the garage, out in the driveway or back yard and get the feel and practice casting that I need without getting the line tangled in trees or shrubs.
A great tool to keep in "shape" during the off season and can be taken on vacation and practice before you get out in the water.
Also a great tool to use when teaching young children the art of fly casting!"

Casting Practice while vegging on the couch.,May 4, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Brooklyn, NY
"I watch baseball and practice casting. It doesn't get much better than this. It's a bit pricey for something you can amke on your own, but I'm lazy, and it's better than I could make anyways."

Two big thumbs up,March 13, 2009
By dynoguyfrom Alabama
"15 minutes in the front yard and I figured out what I have doing wrong when I tried to roll cast. For those of us that can't practice casting very often, I can't think of a better way to learn and to keep in practice."

Great Practice Rod!,February 9, 2009
By NewYorkVinnyfrom New York
"Little rod loads nicely and is excellent for practicing indoors on cold winter days. I was all set to go on a mid-winter fly fishing trip to the Keys after practicing a little every day with this baby. Was casting nice tight loops to those bones."

Yes it really feels like a fly rod,December 30, 2008
By rebelsqkfrom South Shore MA
"I think this is a must have product. I have had one for over two years. You can practice or teach with it most any time or place. The feel is excellent just like a long fly rod it loads an unloads! I would say it feels like a 5-6 wt rod. You can practice most any type of cast with it. It is easier to try a new cast or old one with this as it is so easy to see what is going on. Your mistakes are very visible thus you can correct them easier. Not a gadget or toy it works! Great when you can't fish to keep your casting in tune. An it only costs as much as a decent fly box! Money well spent I think! One Safety tip! Watch your back cast if in the living room!!! I got into my casting one day an let out just a bit more line than there was room for. I snagged a piece of crystal off a shelf. Lets just say I don't care to do that ever again.... Tight lines"

winter fishing blues,December 15, 2008
By gmonicasfrom Boston, MA
"If you want to practice your cast, teach someone to understand the basics of fly casting or just entertaing your self this is agreat way to do it on a low buget. the rod has great action and the line (nylon rope) provided loads the rod perfectly. You can cast this 4 foot rod from you arm chair, standing or seating on the floor, a great way to learn to cast from less than ideal locations or positions. I highly recomend this product, it is a fun way to tune your skills whem you can't get out there and fish. P.S. kids love it to."
