"I've always admired other people wearing the monkey fur jackets, so I decided to try one for myself this year and it's fantastic. I admit it isn't really cold up here in Alaska yet, so I'm not sure how it will stand up once the weather really gets frigid. But, it's snuggly, has attractive styling, and just fun to touch. It's been nice to wear it on a couple of the cool mornings we've had and it was really comfortable with a short-sleeved shirt underneath."

"I just love the monkey coat!!! The only thing I would have done differently is to order my correct size. I took the advise of several reviews on this site and others sites about ordering 1 size up and found it to be a bit larger that I would have liked. I usually wear 2 shirts and still have plenty of room in the coat. I have received lots of compliments on the coat and it is very warm. I also ordered the monkey gloves and love them as well."

The fleecing of my wife,February 10, 2009

"Wife has been wanting this coat for some time. Bought the burgundy (cinnaberry) color for her birthday in Jan. She loves it. Says its the warmest she's been in a single coat/fleece ever. Seeing as her teeth chatter at 50 degrees F, that is saying something. Long term I imagine the pile will flatten, but it should perk up with a little coaxing? As a layer under a parka, it should maintain loft creating a nice warm layer of air. Similar to the function of down, without the feathers. I've been wanting the male version...maybe nows the time! Valentines day isn't just for women guys. Drop hints on that new coat/lure/decoy you want...
I'm an alpinist/mountaineer/all season/hunter/fisherman/outdoorsman. I expect that she'll wear this when I take her steelhead fishing...since hunting is over... for fall anyway."

"You'll be hard-pressed to find another jacket this soft and warm. It's stretchy cuffs/hem and contoured fit seal in critical warmth on the coldest days. The "Monkey Phur"-lined stand-up collar is one my favorite features. The lining feels amazing next to the skin, especially when it's completely zipped up. And its "furry" exterior gives it a unique look that often draws compliments."
