"Every day the ice melts my driveway get to be smoother ice. If it were not for the walkers I couldn't get my mail till spring. At 65 I do not need a bad fall and they deffinalty keep me sterdy on the ice. Even when I have tried to I can't make my foot slide.
I have given some out to other people I care about."

"Almost 10 years ago my local mailman introduced me to his Yaktrax and said they kept him from "breaking his neck" in the icy, snowy mid-NYS winters. As a senior citizen, I was still working every day so I purchased a pair. That one pair of Yaktrax lasted me until just before Christmas '08. At that time I ordered 2 pair from Cabella's and still love them. I have recommended them to many friends and relatives, both older and younger. There are no sharp points or cleats!!
PS: Cabella's are one of the speediest companies when it comes to online ordering."

"Thought this would be the answer to problem Wis weather. While they worked well on the ice and snow they would not stay on my boots. I used the guide to order. Wish I had spent the extra money for the ones with the strap. While they are okay I would not order again."

Works, but...,

"Yaktrax works really well on packed snow. It's not so easy to put on and off (almost feels like putting on a rubber band over something). I was able to safely walk on everything except on tiles. I gave two stars because 1) the metal coil rolls on its rubber frame shifting to one side after a while (I had to roll it back to its original position), and 2) eventually, the coil will cut the thin rubber frame it's on (this happened during my second winter using it - I barely used it the first year, and only a month into a moderately heavy use the second year). Although it was great while it worked, the durability of Yaktrax in my case was unacceptable."

"I walk alot during the winter months and was always afraid of falling. Not anymore. I tested them out on ice and snow, and they work great. Just be careful walking on them through your garage. They are slippery on the garage floor."
