"In the catalog and online the clock itself looks a lighter color then it really is an at night you can not see the clock or hands so the picture was very misleading.. cause the color was one of the reason we purchased this particular one."

"For the money it is a great looking and time functioning clock. The recording of the shotgun is very soft and barely can be heard. It does look good and as I said it keeps perfect time."

"The shot shell clock adds an air of "country" to my home that myself and my family really like.
The shooting sound that it makes is not loud enough to wake you in the middle of the night and can be turned off.
So far it keeps excellent time. I haven't had it long enough to know if it's a battery hog or not but, we like it.
It's something that every guest that comes into the home definately notices.
The price on this clock is excellent. You can;t get an ugly clock at wally world for the price of the shot shell clock."

"Looks great, keeps descent time. Biggest problem is that the shotgun blast goes off at quarter til the hour and not on the hour. Haven't found a way to adjust the shotgun blast to the top of the hour. Good thing it was on sale."

"I love the appearance of the clock, but the second hand gets tangled up with the clock hands. I ordered 2 clocks and one of them didn't work at all.........I called Cabela's and was satisfied with their offer to send me a gift certificate to cover the cost of one of the clocks. I will say that the sound is pretty authentic with the cocking of the gun and then the blast. It is annoying though to have the sound every hour, and I was happy that you can turn the sound off."

"This clock keeps good time BUT the second hand is messed up. The second hand is SLOW going from 6 to 12, then almost FALLS to the 5 when it reaches 1. I plan to be in Kansas City soon and I will return it then. I like the clock, BUT want it to work right. I'm sure it is simply a glitch, and NOT any fault of Cabelas at all."

The sound at each hour is the same: racking of shotgun, shotgun blast, racking of shotgun. I wish it had a variable volume so I could turn it up for the hard-of-hearing.
