"this is most likely the warmest coat ever made that still gives you the ability to move around comfortably. the down feathers inside are key. i cant imagine going with synthetic down if you tried this coat on first. the warmth and softness is unmatched. i will agree with others, however, that the photo showing the coat is a little off. i bought one that said it was tobacco (which is the color listed on the site here) on the tag and it is lighter in color than the coat pictured. not by much really, think more of an olive green with a brownish cast to it. still really beautiful looking on. also, as one other reviewer said, the fur is not as white as it is pictured here. it is more of a mix of brown and grey and black hairs, definitely not white, but goes very well with the tobacco color. the outershell is great, feels almost like a sueded cotton shirt if youve ever ran across one of those. honestly, for the price (even the retail price is reasonable), this coat just cannot be beat. definitely get one now before they sell out and you kick yourself for not getting one on down the road in january when the real cold weather comes."

"This coat is really hard to beat for the price. We had the first freezing weather today so I thought I would give it a try. The temp dropped down to 28 deg this morning and the coat was fine as long as it was open. Can't wait for the real cold weather to to test it. I have a feeling it will handle the coldest weather."

Sizes mentioned in inches and centimeter are a lot bigger in reality. If you think you should take M, go for the S!
The colour of the fur trim is raccoon in a beigish brown, not white as suggested by the picture. Véry warm and véry well finished!

"This parka will truly keep you warm, even in subzero temps and fierce wind. It is long enough to cover your bottom, and has a two-way zipper for ease of movement. The sleeves have inner cuffs to seal out drafts. The neck closes so well (without choking you) that a scarf is completely unnecessary, and the collar material is soft against your face. The shoulders are designed to allow full range of motion for your arms. The hand-warmer chest pockets are warm and cozy for your hands, and the huge lower cargo pockets can hold lunch, books, hats, gloves, etc easily. The hood is well insulated and closes comfortably around your face, providing protection and warmth even in Chicago blizzards.
There is one drawback though. The real coyote fur on the hood is not removable. I solved this dilemma by opening the seam and taking off the offending fur. I sewed the hood back up, and now my parka is perfect!
I ordered a men's size small, and it is roomy everywhere except slightly closer fitting through the hips. Still the best winter coat ever. I feel like I am in a warm cocoon ."

"I ordered this parka just in time for some below zero temps in upstate NY. It is the warmest and most comfortable parka I have ever worn in my 69 years. I drive for a living and the hood when down because of the way it lays in the back presents no problems with the seat back. I've also received numerous compliments on the looks of the parka as well. I thought from the catalog picture that it may be heavy in weight but that is not the case at all. It is a rather light parka. I am extremely pleased with this product. Thanks Cabelas."

"Picked up coat on sell. Great quality. Really warm. Nice pockets. Hand warmer pockets don't have zipper but are deep. Pocket with zipper on the left sleeve as well. Material almost makes it look like swede leather. Dry clean only.2nd cabelas coat I've purchase the first one going on 12 years."
