"This thing is the best one I have found but you do have to take it off the "test mode" before it will stay on. This is very easy to do just hold the on button until unit flashes and then goes off. Stays on the collar and is very tuff."

People aren't reading the instructions,

"Many people giving this product low ratings aren't reading the little yellow "important" information tag. By default the device is in "try it" mode. This is designed so that it shuts off after a few seconds so people don't leave them on in the store. If you press and hold the button until the light flashes quickly, the "try it" mode will be disabled and the light will stay on as you leave it on. Unless you notice this tag, you won't know to do this.
Once we sorted that out, this product worked great! Makes it very easy to track where the dogs are when walking at night."

"When I received the product the light would go off within 30 seconds which made the product worthless. I change batteries and found it came with weak batteries. Now it seems to work longer. I have not tested it to see how long the batteries last yet."

"My dog wears two.The lights let me find my dog at night. Just look for the "blinking bush". Everyone loves it. BUT, changing the battery is impossible, I haven't figured it out yet."

"Light does not stay on for very long.I turn it on to let my dog out into my back yard,and in atleast 20 minutes when I let her in the light has turned itself off.I bought the darn thing in case she got out while in my fenced back yard at night.Not worth the money."

"A good product. Very visible for taking our dog on walks. As the other reviews noted, you must take the light out of the "store mode" to keep the light on.
We found out about the "store mode" setting by visiting the Niteize website.
Works great. Also handy for children or adults to clip on for visibility at night, or attaching to tent lines, etc. for visibility (works great for camping)."

"At first we thought these lights were not working properly, however they are set to store test mode to conserve battery power. It doesn't say anything about this in the directions. You need to press the light down and hold it while it turns solid, then it flashes and then will shut off. This will take it off test mode. Great product!!!"

"this light will be perfect for keeping tabs on my dog around the camp site at night. it is pretty bright and has a nice clip. You kind of need to mess around with it to get it off demo mode cause at first it shuts off after just a few minutes."

Little light perfect for walks in the dark,

"This light is great for being able to see my dog in the dark when I let him wander off leash. I take him out in the mornings, and it's nice to be able to keep an eye on him.
At first it was shutting off after 10 seconds. But we realized it was in test mode, so that the battery doesn't drain when people turn it on the the store. Once we shut off that mode, it says on, and is easy to see."
