big bang for the buck,October 14, 2009
By SmokenPowderfrom PA
"Being that PA just passed the use of crossbows in archery season for a 3 year experiment I didn't want to invest a lot. So far I've shot it for about a week and everything seems to work OK. It's not a Ten Point, but it seems to do the job. Doesn't have any limb problems like the more expensive PSE model. Shoots accurate at 30 yds.
Positives: Price complete with quiver and sling Price metal trigger, action, and weaver mounting rail Price
Negatives: Peep sight is too thin and hard to see when not in midday sun
Front pin holder is not a bridge and easy to knock out of alignment
cable guide needs to be reworked (filed deeper) to actually keep cables from rubbing
Noise!! it has a bad spring sound from the action. I stuffed the hollow stock with Styrofoam and the hollow spaces of the action, it helped a little, but the crossbow is loud.
Trigger is just plain bad. It has about 3/16" creep. It takes some getting use to. Not anything like a typical gun. This things makes bad shot triggers look like match rifles.
Throw away the bolts that come with it and buy some carbons. Oh, good luck finding 17" bolts, I bought 20" and cut them down (real pain).
All in all I would buy it again. I am sure it is more then capable to take game. It's cheap, it works, and puts bolts into a 1.5" diameter @20yds. Did I mention I "Robinhooded" a bolt in about 15 minutes of shooting this thing."

entry level crossbow,September 21, 2009
By GLfrom Michigan
"This is my first crossbow and I did not want to spend a bunch of money to get started. In the early go, I find it satisfactory. It is rather noisy but I have not fired other crossbows to compare. I understand they are all louder than compound bows. It is quick enough for my purposes and easy to manage. I am glad I did not need a crank for pulling the string back."

GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE $$$$$$$$,April 11, 2009
By StrykerBows
"I own one of these crossbows and it REALLY cannot be beat for the money. It shoots good out to 40 yards. I killed a 7 pointer this year and the bolt went all the way through the deer, deer only went about 15 or 20 yards. I now own a stryker crossbow that shoots 405 fps and I still highly recommend this pse crossbow to anyone for the money."
