"I like the jacket. I have had several types of this garmet and they work great. I only have one complaint. The pockets are not water proof. The water proof material is between the pocked and your body. Not on the outside of the pocket. Other than that, they are a good value."

Zipper leaks,September 9, 2009

"I bought this jacket hoping to find a lightweight waterproof jacket for cool temperature bowhunting in Virginia and spot and stalk hunting in Alaska. On a recent Brown bear trip to Alaska I spent 2 1/2 days in a wind driven rain. While the waterproof fabric of the jacket held up fine, the zipper on the front of the jacket is not waterproof and has no flap, and it leaked quite a bit. I've not had a chance to go bowhunting in the jacket, but it seems noiser than I would want it to be. I will be returning the jacket. I don't mind spending top dollar on good equipment as long as it works as intended-this jacket did not."

"I've used the Cabela's Revolution fleece for five years in Alaska. I live in and Hunt the southeast portion of the state that is known as a temperate rain forest. I spend a lot of time in the woods and 90 percent of the time it's raining. I've seldom had a problem with getting wet or cold when I wear this product. Thanks Cabela's for a quality garment. The only thing I have noticed is occassionally I get a little damp down the front of the jacket because the zipper flap is not very wide.

"This jacket surpassed all of my expectations. While on a deer hunt walking thru waist high brush in the pouring rain, water was literally dripping off the outside of my jacket while I remained completely dry on the inside. When I returned home I ordered this jacket for my soaking wet wife."

"As a bowhunter, I am looking for rain gear that is extra quiet and this is not it. It would be great for gun hunting, but to my mind makes just a bit too much noise when it rubs against itself to qualify for bowhunting. Otherwise, I'm sure it's probably great."

"I looked long and hard for a waterproof scent control jacket at a reasonable price and thought I had found what I was looking for with this jacket, but I wasn't too impressed after putting this jacket to work. Water soaks through at the front zipper and also at the arm cuffs. After a half day hunt in the rain, the jacket was also saturated at the shoulders. This jacket may be alright for use in mild precipitation conditions, but in my experience it certainly didn't withstand moderate precipitation."

"I spend a lot of time bowhunting for whitetails and have always found Cabela's clothing to live up to it's billing, but the revolution fleece jacket i bought recently is not near quiet enough for tree stand hunting. if the material touches the tree it is quite noisy. Also it picks up burrs easily and the make noise when rubbed against other parts of the jacket. You need to wear an arm guard with this jacket, because the sleeves are bulky. On the positive side, it is very comfortable to wear and performs well in the rain. The hood is comfortable too. It would make a great jacket for other types of hunting where noise is not an issue."

"I've always been leery of "waterproof, breathable" fabrics. I've had several jackets which claimed to be just that, but in a downpour they failed miserably. They kept out the wind nicely, and kept me dry enough in a light rain, but in a downpour? Forget about it. My shoulders got soaked, and I'd spend the rest of the day in a cold, clammy shirt.
This September, some friends and I spent several days moose hunting in Gustavus, Alaska. Frost covered the bushes in the early morning, and by mid-morning turned to dew. I needed two things: good camo gear, and something to keep me dry. A couple of coworkers swore by Cabela's Dry-Plus.
Not knowing of anything better, I ordered Cabela's Revolution Fleece Dry-Plus Uninsulated Full-Zip Jacket with Scent-Lok and Revolution Fleece Dry-Plus Uninsulated Pants with Scent-Lok. I was pleased with them when they arrived, but the real test would be on the hunt. Setting out in the pre-dawn, we sloshed through muskeg meadows and water six to eight inches deep. Our rubber boots handled that easily, but the bushes came up to our waists in places. As the temperature rose, the frost melted. It was impossible to move about without sponging up water off the foliage. Throughout the day however, I never noticed it. The outside of my pants were soaked. On the inside I was dry and comfortable. At the end of the day I was sold on Dry-Plus!
It surprised me even more at how quickly the gear dries. State game regulations closed the hunt daily at noon. We hung our pants and jackets in the sun back at the lodge in the early afternoon, and I don't think 45 minutes passed before they were totally dry again!
Southeast Alaska is nothing if not soggy. I've used my gear on several hunts now, and wish I'd bought it years ago. It has more than met my expectations."

"I liked this jacket because it is light and has the wind and rain resistance that I was looking for. It also had the quiet feature in the material that I was looking for when I went bear hunting. The only thing I dont care for on this is the lining can feel rough if you have dry skin. It is not as soft a material that I like for a lining.
