These GORE-TEX® hunting boots are among the best available. Every Danner® boot is double lasted - the key to fit and comfort. Each boot is constructed around a steel shank that keeps your arch up all day. Under the shank are three full layers - a hard neoprene midsole, medium-weight EVA midsole, and a tough Vibram® outsole. Lacing down to the toe means the boot adjusts to your foot; you are comfortably lashed in so you will not turn your ankle traversing rough terrain. Each boot is water-tested twice during the production process, then dried and passed on for final inspection. Danner® and Cabela's guarantee them to be 100% waterproof. Cordura® and full-grain leather construction in these 9" boots results in hunting boots one-third lighter than all-leather boots, yet tougher; Cordura® has 10 times the scuff resistance of leather. Moisture-wicking liner. Made in USA. Airthotic footbed included. This boot is insulated with 3M's 200-grain Thinsulate™ thermal insulation.
Height: 9". Average weight: 4.1 lbs./pair. Color: Burgundy . Men's sizes: 8-14 B width, 7-14 D width, 8-13 EE width. Half sizes to 12.

Danner quality,September 6, 2009

"I've buying Danners for over 15 yrs., in AZ stitchdown construction is the only way, rocks of all sizes are hard on boots. The only thing I'd add to these is the pull loop on the back."

Cabela's Insulated Kletterlift Boots,December 19, 2008
By BroncoGuy2from Sacramneto, California
"I was extremely disappointed in this boot. The good points: the boot was warm and water proof. The bad point: boot fit was exceptionally poor.
I wear a size 11 B. I ordered and received a size 11 B. Boot length was fine. Width fit, however, was marginally adequate to poor. The left foot toe, ball, and arch areas fit reasonably well. The left foot heel area fit was somewhat sloppy. The right boot, on the other hand, had significant fit problems. The boot from the toe area to the heel area was sloppy. The problem was particularly acute in the heel area. It was as if the boot was an 11 D rather than an 11 B; there appeared to be "extra" leather in the boot. Foot/boot stability on side hills was a significant problem. Tightening the laces significantly helped somewhat, but not sufficiently. The left boot was simply too large!
I have not experienced this problem with other boots or shoes.
Cabela's/Danner include heel cups, apparently to address "loose heel" issues. The cups helped somewhat for the left foot, but were virtually non-effective for the right foot. A boot this expensive and supposedly designed to fit narrow feet should not require "extra" inserts to fit properly. They should fit out of the box.
The boot did not live up to the fit and quality I have become accustomed to from Cabela's. A boot this expensive, and one with the Cabela's/Danner name should fit better, particularly since it was designed for a relatively narrow foot. I would not recommend this boot to friends or colleagues who normally wear a B or narrower width.
I will be returning the boots for a full refund."

"these boots are outstanding for high mountain hunts; it is the only boot i use for sheep and goat hunting (five hunts). boot feels like a custom fit and is able to provide excellent purhase power on steep slopes and rock/ice terrain. only modification i would make is to provide a plastic toe cover to protect the toe of the boot; scree and rock are devestating to wear and tear on the toe. such a modification woul result in the perfect boot. this is my 5th pair."

Boots not narrow,July 22, 2008
By jimgetselk
"In 40 plus pages of boots, these were the only boots that were listed as insulated and waterproof that came in a narrow B width. Guess what, they aren't narrow. My heel was slipping down the hall before I got to the front door. Sent them back."

Best Boots Ever Purchased!,February 24, 2008
By BruceWfrom Franklin, NH
"I am extremely happy with my new Kletterlift Boots purchased from Cabela's. They are excellent quality, comfortable and supporting for the foot. Cabela's stands behind all it's products and it's a pleasure doing business with them."
"So far they have done the job. Light enough but warm for our Winter. They are a little hard to get on due to my having a high arch but that is my fault, not the boots. I would purchase them again."

Cabela's Insulated Kletterlift Boots,February 20, 2008
By jpbhfrom Ohio
"I am in the nursery landscape business and my feet are always subject to water, mud, heat ,cold.Years ago I use to use Red Wing boots that would not hold up for a season.I would bring the Red Wing boots back to the dealer in about 2 months just worn out.I started wearing the insulated kletterlift boots in the winter and the uninsulated kletterlift boot in the summer and my feet have been happy every since then.I have recommend these boots to several people in the past and as far as I am concerned these are the only hard working boot to buy. Thank You! jpbh"

Built to last and comfortable,January 7, 2008
By ArmyVeteranfrom Wyoming and Kentucky
"I've been a Danner boot fan since my Army days. These boots continue the Danner tradition of quality. The insulation in these doesn't make my feet hot even when the weather is warm. It is enough insulation to make those 20 and 30 degree days much more comfortable. I now have 8 pairs of Danner boots and none have let me down or made me regret paying for them! I wear my boots for work and play and these have held up well to work which involved crawling under houses and climbing ladders. My feet stay comfortable and since they're waterproof and breathable, my feet stay dry."

Skunked Boots,November 5, 2007
By thursby
"My Danner boots worked well for their first pheasant hunt to North Dakota. I had minimal time to break them in, but I had no issues wearing them for the first 3 days of the hunt. On that third day I had a close encounter with a skunk, which left the boots smelling more than ripe. Two cans of tomato juice and a couple of weeks outside and they are ALMOST good as new."

Surveyor in the California Wilderness,October 31, 2007
By prmbishopfrom Bishop, CA
"These are the only work/hunting boots I've been completely happy with. They are: light weight, waterproof, supportive in rought terrain, and stand up to construction type work. The insulation is just the right amout, any less-no benefit, any more and the boot is to soft and mushy. The insulation keeps my feet warm in the -10 F cold, but also cool in the +100 F heat I work in during the hot months. I've tried other boots on and off for the last 20 years, and this is the only boot I've bought on a regular basis. The cost seems high, but the boots are well constructed and outlast many others which I've tried, plus they've kept my feet and ankles healthy for over 20 years."

Great Sheep hunting boot,October 23, 2007
By 1Toklatfrom I will test your gear here in Alaska!
"My normal hunting season consists of twelve days sheep, six goat, fourteen moose, four caribou, eight deer, seven elk, eight bear and several days scouting. Most of this is done wearing "Cabelas Insulated Kletterlift Boots". With four seasons on them my present pair will make yet another season. No! other boot has come close in durability or comfort. I have tried many others plastic and leather that did not hold together."

Danner Boots,October 2, 2007
By Sermonatorfrom NE California/Nevada Border
"I've tried several different boots over the years: Rocky, Cabela's brand, Herman, Meindl, etc. Few have done as well as the Danners and none has been better. I chucker hunt in some of the roughest lava-rock places in the west. Many boots are falling apart in a single season. Even when the boot is OK, often the soles are shot because of the rough contry and the fact I'm a big, heavy guy (thus, glued soles are a waste of money). I keep comming back to Danners. This is my 4th pair in 20 years (but am using two pairs, still). The lava rocks mean I have them re-soled about every 4 years - give or take - which is fairly easy and inexpensive. It isn't uncommon to get 10 years out of these boots. I would recommend them to anyone."

Size was a little big.,September 17, 2007
By Racer12
"I have always worn Danner Boots in a size 12 D, but for some reason, my new boots fit a little bigger than the others. I wore them for one week and my foot was sliding around and causing some discomfort. However, I purchased some insoles for $15 that I placed over the top of the existing insole and now the boots fit perfectly. I am a very big fan of Danner Boots."

Kletterlift Boot,August 13, 2007
By Duckfish1from Renville, MN
"These are the best hunting boots I have ever used. Feels like wearing tennis shoes while hunting. Very light and comfortable. I have owned them for 3 years and they get better with age. I live in SW Minnesota and pheasant hunt a few times a week locally and hunt in S. Dakota twice a year so they get a ton of use. I do wax/oil them at least twice a year during the hunting season and then also at the end of the year to prevent the leather from stressing and cracking. If you do this they will last for a long time."

Short Lived Leather,April 2, 2007
By JohNINfrom Binghamton, NY
"I appreciate Danner making the hard to find sizes available. I have a B width. These boots have remained 100% waterproof even though the leather on the top of the toe has cracked all the way through to the liner. I did treat them before each season however the leather has really dried out and cracked. I have had them for 6 years but they are only used maybe 8 weekends a year so that really dosent add up to a very long life. At the price these boots are sold for, I expect more. I had a Cabelas name brand boot before these and they lasted twice as long for half the price."

The Best Upland Boots Available,November 25, 2006
By UplandHunterBobfrom Canton, MI
"I purchased my second pair of Cabela's Danner Insulated Kletterlift Boots this fall. They are the lightest, most comfortable upland boots you can buy. When you walk as much as I do, you need the lightweight strength and comfort these boots provide. I upland bird hunt in these boots for 6 or more weeks a year from the woods of Northern Michigan to the fields of South Dakota. Additionally, I wear these boots while walking and training my dog 4 to 5 miles per day every day I'm not hunting. Frankly, I've lost track how many years of this my first pair took before the soles became so smooth that I had to relegate them to yard work duty - must be 6 or 7 years. Through all of that time these boots have been more comfortable than a good pair of tennis shoes."
