The widely varying knot patterns, grain designs and colors ? from rich, weathered grays to shades of orange and red ? give each piece its own personality. As a Founding Member of the Sustainable Furniture Council, Mountain Woods Furniture? is committed to using mostly reclaimed or "dead-standing" wood, and where necessary, supplementing those wood sources with sustainably sourced, locally harvested aspen trees. The company uses wood scraps to efficiently heat their facility and utilize low-VOC stain and water-based finishes during construction to minimize indoor air pollution.
