It OK,May 3, 2009

"I am a Retired Marine who has spent a LOT of time in the field with Division Units. I recently bought two of the American Trails Youth Urban Camo Sleeping Bag one for my son and one for my daughter. They are nice size and fairly inexpensive. I was disapointed that they are not realy made for camping. Material is very thin and light and not made to withstand "Camping". My family camped out in Arizona in Late April when the night time was getting down in the Low 50's and my kids froze. When we got home, we cleaned our gear and washed the bags and one developed a rip from the wash. I'll see how Cabelas handle the exchange. They would be great for sleepovers and other domestic events. My kids do love them, I was hoping somthing a little more rugged."

Daughter's favorite gift,April 8, 2009
By Madpaddlerfrom Shelby Township, MI
"Bought this bag as a birthday present for my 9 year old daughter as we prepare for her first Boundary Waters trip with me. She's slept in it every night since and loves it. Very comfortable and well made for the money. We're planning a May camping trip in Northern Michigan; we'll find out if it's warm enough for the BWCA. Looks like another quality product from Cabela's."

OUTSTANDING!!!!,March 18, 2009
By SGTCDUSMCfrom NC
"I was a US.Marine for 14 years , needless to say, I have spent ALOT! of time outside in the elements. Since my daughters birth I have carried her with me outside and she came up camping with her Daddy. After being tired of her sleeping in adult sleeping bags I ran acrossed this sleeping bag while shopping and said well its not that much money if i make a huge mistake so I ordered it. Upon its arrival I inspected it from head to toe , this bag is awesome!! it has neck baffles in it like a pro sleep system which are great because they dont allow cold air to travel down your bag , it has alot of loft and insulation. Well heres what you really want to know , my Daughter and I went camping last week , it had been almost 60 degrees at night for a week well little did I know the weatherman was going to be wrong!! I thought , this is a great time to check out her new gear. As the night went along I noticed it was getting colder and colder and decided to build a fire , we were in the woods behind my house , five miles from home, thats a long hike for a freezing 5 year old and we had no tent. I made a make-shift two person poncho shelter and slid her bag on one side and mine on the other , I used thermorest sleep pads for insulation from the ground. she said Daddy , Im really cold and was shivering so I told her to get into her thermal undies and get into her bag. Now , let me make this clear I had my 4 part sleep system from the Military and all she had was a few clothes and this sleeping bag , I just knew I would soon have to surrender one of my bags to her (and would have if needed) I checked my thermometer on my kestrel and it was a solid 29 degrees!! About an hour into this adverse condition I asked her , are you ok ? she said Daddy , Im burning up in here!! we actually had to vent the bag for 15 minutes for her to cool off . I was freezing my can off in a brand new military sleep system! With a thin layer of long underwear and thin socks and this sleeping bag in 29 degree weather my 5 year old was toasty! I am amazed at this sleeping bag! the price is outstanding! it should cost more for what I witnessed , its made very well with no flaws in its build it has features that alot of high end bags have all for your child and it fits a child better than a adult sleeping bag , the only thing I was concerned about was water repellency , its not made out of gore-tex so dont sleep in the rain but for normal condensation I would not worry , it has been treated for light water. I am amazed at what I recieved for the little money it cost , yes , in a couple of years she will have out grown it but thats ok..it didnt cost $300. and at that time Ill buy another great sleping bag from the industry God in outdoor gear and Ill enjoy the same great customer service and speedy shipping. I am happy with my purchase but I am always happy to do busines with Cabelas , you cant go wrong with this sleeping bag nor Cabelas....and NO!! I dont work for them. Did I mention that the bag has its on compression sack which allows you to make it two time smaller ?........."

pink and blue camo bags,February 9, 2009
By mamaof7from John Day, OR
"These sleeping bags are so cute! I purchased the pink one for my four year old daughter, and a blue one for my three year old son. They love them. We haven't used them outdoors yet, but they have used them in the living room and they got too hot, so I'm sure they will be fine. They seem very well made. They are easy to stuff back in the bag. They have an adjustable "collar" at shoulder height and a drawn string hood to keep the cold out. We are very happy with these junior sized bags."
