Hashbrowns for Home or the Trail,September 17, 2009
By Dicknfrom St. John, IN
"First I gave it 4 stars only be cause it is dehydrated. Excellent taste and in a package that will last on the shelf a long time and if you take it on the trail it will be intact instead of crushed contents that you get with envelopes. Taste is great - they added a bit of onion powder which gives a little spice to it. Just add some hot water to the box - wait 30 minutes and you are ready for the pan. We cooked with a bit of oil and butter and got nice golden brown patties for a side with dinner or breakfast. Better than freeze dried and much less expensive. A box serves 4 easily."

"Light weight and relatively small individual packaging. Each container makes lots of great tasting hash browns. Just add water and then cook like fresh hash browns."
HOMESTYLE DEHYDRATED HASH BROWNS - EIGHT PACK,May 18, 2009
By Bart11from California and Alaska
"These HASH BROWNS are the greatest. The key is a hot skillet and olive oil. The directions on the package say add water and let stand for 30 minutes before you unload into the skillet. If you add boiling water into the carton you only need to let stand for ten minutes and they are ready to cook. You'll like em'."
"Used these on the river. They are great. Open, fill with water, let sit for 15 minutes or so, drain off the water and fry 'em up in a little butter or oil. Tasted better than what you get in most eating joints. I highly recommend them. Gonna buy a lot more of them for feeding my children at the house. One container will feed 2 hungry people. Use 2 containers to feed 4 guys with a little left over. Great product!"
"These hash browns were great. Tasty, easy to prepare and versatile. I liked the water measure mark on the box and also how light they were. Perfect for canoe camping trips. It is also easy to get creative and add onions, peppers or sausage bits. They will accompany us on trips often."
