Amazing Company,March 27, 2009

1. This stock is great. Hard plastic isn't as soft to the touch as i had hoped for, but hey... feels tough enough. 2. I agree, the adjustable stock seams slightly loose when fully extended. Not really a big issue for me. 3. I don't find the sling strap being an issue for my stock at all. Swivels would have been nice, but what it does have is adequate and has not malfunctioned for me. 4. I have a .920 (heavy) model, matching my matte black barrel, 25 rd. (black) mag, and a simple 3.9.40 scope.... the gun actually looks fairly scary! :) 5. I can't stop picking the gun up and sighting in targets in my yard... i think there's a Johnny Cash song about that. 6. I'm a smallish guy (140 lbs. 5'8"). In shortest position, i can't shoot - unless i was hugging my gun as if in a fox hole! Also, the long is slightly too long... that is to say: the range is perfect. I think I'm 3/5ths of the way to the back position.
The real reason for this post is to explain how amazing of a company Christie & Christie was for me. My local store doesn't carry these, i found online. Once received (i think from a Cabela's warehouse) it ended up being an older model. The only difference is - the "set-pin" for the stock (where you let the leaver rest on the desired stock position) was made of plastic. When bran-new, the stock is a little stiff; when i pulled to release it, off flew the stock and it snapped the pin! Instead of taking the stock back, i called the number on a business card that was left in my package. The name on the card was Kenneth Christie!!!! This business owner literally answered his cell phone while not at work and let me explain what happened. He regretfully admitted the flaw in these early models, and reassured me of a new metal "pin" that they use. For my inconvenience, without proof of purchase (that's right, LIFETIME WARRANTY - NO PROOF OF PURCHASE REQUIRED), Kenneth NOT ONLY mailed me a new metal "pin", but also allowed me to go to his website and pick any two items under $15 for him to through in! This is the way they run their company... I'm close to 30 now, and i haven't been treated this good ever! I chose an EZ Loader (simple as simple can be) and a new picatini rail for a scope... this rail alone was $35 if a wanted the Tactical Solution's one.
I apologize for the length... but hope it's useful for you.
All in all... i love it."

great stock,February 3, 2009

"Great stock has great weight and comfortable positioning. Only draw back is collapsable stock wiggles slightly, I used some electrical tape underneath to make a tighter fit. I would recommend using this stock with the bull barrel has a much nicer look and feel."

Poor exicution of design,December 15, 2008
By jdsnowwitfrom SE Okla.
"great idea for a stock, but the sling loops were fixed, and the loop at the forend caused the barrel guard to keep popping out of place. the same bolt that holds the barrel guard on, holds the sling loop also. so every time i shouldered the stock it popped up the barrel guard at the frame end, and almost fell off. needs reworked and swivel studs instead. also adjustable stock is still too long in the shortest setting i think."

Great stock,October 15, 2008

"I bought one of these for my 10/22 about two years ago. This is the absolute top of the line when it comes to stocks. It is constructed from a super sturdy composit that is lifetime guarenteed. Which means you can return it in any condition and they will send you a brand new one no questions asked. The features on this stock are great, the stock can be set to any shooter and it comes with a front grip that can be removed or added in seconds. There are three compartments in which you can store things like cleaning kits or your alan head wrenchs to take the stock off, that are also supplied. Putting this thing together is a simple as taking the old stock off and droping the gun right in. This is by far the best stock they make for the ruger 10/22."
