"I previously had an Endura 44 and bought the Traxxis 55 to step up in power and was not disappointed. I am very pleased with the performance of this troll motor. I especially appreciate its performance on windy days. The most attractive feature is the ability to hold the motor in one place and free me up to fish without always having to adjust course. I use this on a small pond and lake and it is perfect for my purposes. Very happy with it."

"I recently upgraded from a 30 to the 55 SC. Man ! What power this motor has. Speed #3 is equavilent to speed #5 on the 30. I wanted to test this motor just to see how long it would operate with a series 24 deep cycle battery. I left the launch at 6 am with my fishing partner. We cruised in speed 2 and 3 all day long moving from spot to spot. The lake we were at is 1.7 miles long and 1/4 mile wide. Staying in speed 2 and 3 we were able to go all the way to the end of the lake to include traveling across at least twice. Then we headed back in speed 3. About half way we started losing power and having to shift up to speed 4 and 5. Feeling like we were standing still, we finally reached the boat launch at 5 PM. The battery was pretty much exhausted. In all I figure we traveled at least 3.5 to 4 miles in a 12 foot aluminum fishing boat. My advise to you, especially while trolling or traveling any distance of 1 mile or more, is to take along an extra deep cycle battery. If you are planning on scooting around on 5 or 10 acre lakes or ponds, you should be ok with just a series 24 or 27 battery and have it last all day. It's a great motor !!"

"I highly recommend th Traxxis 55 trolling motor. I put mine on a 14 foot jon boat and it moves along quite nicely. For the money, this would be tough to beat. The lake I fish does not allow gas engines, so this was the only way to go, for me. I actually like it better than 9.9 Hp outboards. Not sure if it is quite as fast, but no engine troubles or smelly fumes to contend with. I am usually on the water 5-6 hours at a time, trolling the entire time and even when the battery indicator showed 25% left, motor still ran strong and brought me back to the boat ramp."
