"These earplugs will take care of you hearing, while enabling just hearing. I can speak and listen when the yellow end is inserted, but gunfire-noice is still reduced as to not bother me. With the olive end in, its really silent, and even long shooting sessions are not bothersome, even indoors with large caliber guns... I'll recommend it to anybody interested in avoiding the large cups of regular muffs, or as an addition to them..."

Shooting range ear plugs,June 23, 2009
By RLP2943from Kansas
"I have not used the ear plugs yet but, I expect them to work very effectively. I liked the fact that one end of the plug completely closes off all sound and the other end allows you to hear voices near you and shuts out the firearm sound."

good,May 4, 2009
By blackheadsfrom Northern VA
"Only used them at the range and on the skeet field, havent hunted yet.
At the range with teh big bore guns, definitely use the green solid side. For the trap and skeet, the yellow side is good b/c you can still talk and have protection.
While at the rifle range I still double up adn put muffs over them, bc those big bore guns have some bang to them. But for hunting with few rifle shots, or shotgunning I think they will be perfect."

Combat Arms Ear Plugs,April 21, 2009
By Smoothboreshooterfrom Eastsound, WA
"These ear plugs do not seem to fit into my ear canal properly. They must be pushed in very far in order to be somewhat effective, at which point they are downright uncomfortable. Worse yet, I was required to purchase two pairs."

Combat Arms Ear Plugs,February 9, 2009
By armordavefrom California
"These are dual purpose indoor/outdoor plugs. I have to say that they are worth what I paid for them. I don't shoot indoors but can say they are fantastic outdoors, you can almost whisper to another person yet block out the ear ringing shot of your favorite cannon. Tested with my .300 win mag rifle I could hear it's echo for miles up and down a canyon I was near and after still hear my companion at normal voice level instantly after. You can leave in your ears as long as comfortable. THESE ARE GREAT ! !! ! Highly recommend!"

Great plugs!,November 30, 2008
By al12345from San Francisco, CA
"I currently use the walker game ears for hunting and at the range but I think I'll switch to these instead. These are not electronic, you can wash these after each use, and they are cheap so if you lose one, no big deal. (hint: buy more than one pair in case you lose one)
You can hear ambient sounds almost as good as without plugs, but they block the percussion of the gunshot. I have only tried with the yellow side in, but am completely sold on them. Great for hunting or skeet/trap. Rain and water won't effect them, unlike electronic items.
Great product and you can't beat the price."

Not too bad.,October 22, 2008
By KB06from NE
"From the experience I've had so far with these, I'd say they were a good buy. Good blast dampening while they still allow you to hear conversation. And considering the amount of hearing loss that I have, that made them a good buy for me. Have not had them on in a strong wind, yet. I don't give 5 stars to anything but the Lord."
