Don't trust the Crimson Cuda,
March 16, 2009
By Blitzb58burgh

"I have bowhunted since 1980. Currently I shoot a Mathews Drenelin @ 70#s using an Easton Axis 400 Carbon arrow, with Blazer zanes. Have made solid shots on two avg. size deer; one in Ohio, one in West Virginia and have not retrieved either one. Absolutely NO PENETRATION! I wouldn't recommend and wouldn't trust them on a trophy or avg deer like I attempted to harvest."

The worst thing i ever bought,

"This broadhead is got to be the worst i have ever used. I have tried these on two deer and did not get them do to this broadhead. The first time i had a 8 point about 10 yards and the arrow pentrated about a inch then bounced off and then the deer ran away. The second time was on a doe she was about 20 yards and i hit here right behind the shoulder and once again i only got a couple inches of penetration the deer bleed for maybe 5 yards then it must of sealed up. Since i have switched fixed blades and get much better results."

"I've shot two deer both bucks with these broadheads and neither went over sixty yards before pileing up. Also took my very first coyote with these broadheads, shot was about fifty yards and the coyote only ran about forty yards and fell.
These broadheads leave tremendous blood trails but so far haven't had to follow but should be easy to track if needed though.
Great broadhead all together tough, big entrance and exit holes and open every time."

"THESE THINGS ARE JUNK. AFTER SHOOTING TWO DEER AT 15 YARDS WITH A PSE WITH A 80 # PULL WITH SHOT DEAD CENTER LUNGS ONLY PENETRATED 6 INCHES. RESULTING IN VERY LITTLE BLOOD. BROUGHT INTO BLOOD SMELLING DOGS THEY COULD NOT LOCATE THE DEER AS WELL. THEY CLAIM THESE TIPS LEAVE A MASSIVE BLOOD TRAIL BUT DONT BE FOOLED THEY DO NOT. I SWITCHED BACK TO MUZZY AND HAVE GREAT RESULTS NOW. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND DONT USE THESE TIPS THEY DONT WORK WELL AT ALL."

"This is the absolute worst broadhead i have ever used! Shot a deer at 20 yards, hit it perfect, and i only got about an inch of penetration. I would never use these broadheads again, not even for rabbits."

Nice Broadhead,

"I shot a huge doe last year with this head. broad side hit at 27 yards. I was using a slow crossbow and I did not get a pass through but the bolt poked out the opposite side of the deer.
Excellent blood trail! A blind man could follow it!!! The heads fly awsome, just like filed points. I got a great price here at cabelas to boot!! Koz"

big blood trail BUT!!!!,
December 20, 2007

"I shot a doe at 20 yards,my step dad an 8 point buck at 30.T he blood trail was great.I shoot at 70 pounds so theres plenty of force. The thing that made me mad , was both our broad heads fell out of the deer.I hit mine right behind the front leg which I thought was a perfect shot. The arrow went in about 6 inches, she turned to run ,took two steps and knocked the arrow right out with her legs.My point is the mechanical broad heads are nice, but are easy to fall back out of the deer.I will use the last broadhead , however when there gone,I am gonna switch to something with a cut-on-contact blade. They were cheap, but I would rather spend more next time. But the blood trail was so huge!!!!!"

"This head flies great with right offset fletched arrows and leaves an amazing blood trails. The only downside is I can't find replacement blades anywhere. Shot a few deer this year with them and they are tough enough to use again and again but you will have to sharpen the blades if you can't find replacements."

"Excellent product! I have always been a little leary of mechanical broadheads until now. I shot a nice 8 pt with the 100 grain Crimson Cuda at 18 yards. The deer only ran 22 yards and fell over in view of my stand. I shot between the ribs on the entry and cut a rib in half on the exit. They also fly exactly like my field points even out to 50 yards!"
