This is the ONLY way to go!,December 1, 2008
By semowaterfowlerfrom Southeast Missouri-Mississippi flyway
"Bought this as a christmas present for myself and my son. We mostly open pool water where you have to hide yourself in feed crop or buck brush. Without the marsh seat, you have to get down on your knees and after being in the cold for serveral hours this get old quickly, especially at my age. After using the seats for the first time, I wondered how I had gone this long without having one! If you hunt the same type of areas, then these are a MUST! They save your knees, not to mention the knees of your waders and make your hunt a much more enjoyable time. Trust me, you won't be sorry. Excellent construction, lightweight and easy to carry in and out of the field."

"the only thing these seats need is a chain to attach it to me so I quit leaving them in the swamp! They work great!"

I would rather forget my shells,September 18, 2009
By akdog
"This seat works great for hunting in marsh and swamp, it allows you to get nice and low without putting your legs to sleep. I didn't realize how much I love this thing until I forgot it on my last hunt."

Great seat but could be better,January 8, 2009
By SLouisianaHunterfrom Lafayette, LA
"I purchased a few of these seats to replace the other marsh seat Cabela's sells. While the "other" seat works OK, it sinks too deep in the marsh. Once you pull the seat out of the marsh, the pipe is full of mud making it heavy. The mud is also hard to remove from inside the plastic pipe. The Avery Swamp Seat however does not have an opening at the bottom to fill up with mud. It is also very easy to pull up and does not hold a lot of mud on the support tubing. The seat works very well but on the down side, the heavier the person is, the deeper it sinks. However this fact does not make at any harder to remove. To get a fifth star, I would make the support tubing a little longer and the fold out feet a little wider to support the "Man" size men who use them. After two recent hurricanes, Rita and Ike, which flooded the marsh with over 10 feet of gulf water and mud, the marsh has a lot of extremely soft sediment on top of an already floating marsh so we need a seat to reach down and support us in a soft environment."

AVERY SWAMP SEAT,January 6, 2009
By SJWSfrom Sacramento, California
"Bought this seat for the 2008 waterfowl season. It worked great! The seat is lightweight, sturdy and easily adjustable. I'm 220lbs and wasn't sure if it would hold up or not (it held up fine). I hunted refuges in the central california area 7 times, so this seat went through the ringer with long transits on decoy carts and various pond depths and fields that I hunted. I can honestly say this thing saved my knees and back. All the years I hunted with out this was just simply stupid on my part. It's a must have. Bite the bullet and purchase this instead of more decoys and accessories, I promise that you will enjoy your hunting more and have less knee, back and butt aches from not having a seat or from making your own half carved seat out of wood. It's worth the money."

Swamp Seat for Duck Hunting,January 5, 2009
By getthepaperfrom Good times at Mayberry
"I spend a lot of time hunting from the tules and cattails in the marshes of California. I have spent hours on buckets and on homemade stools. The Avery Swamp Seat beats them all. It is easy to set up, does not force you to be exposed by having to spread the reeds apart to fit your bucket and can be easily strapped on to a pack for carrying. It is pretty comfortable to use for hours at a time and makes it easy to pick up and move to where the ducks want to be. I have only used it a few times this season so I am unsure of its long term durability."

no gimmick,December 10, 2008
By bigmakfrom leicester ma. 01524
"I used the avery swamp seat on a nine day deer hunt in the finger lakes region of n.y and found it to be very comfortable for a 350+ man sitting all day. It penetrates frozen ground with no problem and was very versatile in placement for a ground stand. This seat is a must have if there are no blow downs or stumps to sit on. this seat is no gimmick."

Avery Swamp Seat,November 18, 2008
By Prototrakerfrom Newport, New Hampshire
"With a very small amount of modification (easily preformed by anyone) this is the best Deer Hunting seat I've ever used. Protable, easy to set up and quiet, this is great for the hunter that prefers to stay on the ground. 5 Stars on this one!!!"

"I normaly build my own seat, but the materials to build cost more that the seat. Lightweight, low and high seat adjustment, seat folds. Best Toolie Stool I have ever owned, you will not me sorry for buying this seat. The Worst day of Hunting is better than the Best day at work."

Avery® Swamp Seat,October 23, 2008
By WornoutWaterfowlerfrom a Maryland Duck hunter
"This seat is very functional and versatile, adjusting easily for different water/mud depths. There is a group of us who use these seats hunting in Canada and we rely on them, day to day. This is the 2nd seat I've owned, I had an earlier version. The monofilament line is an improvement over the old bead chain, which broke easily. It's very important to follow the instructions about locking the seat in place before putting weight on it, or you will break the casting supporting the seat. It's a "must have" for us."

"I just returned from a trip to Canada, where I used the Avery swamp seat. We were hunting in marshes that had 1 to 2 feet of water. The seat worked excellent. It was light weight but sturdy and very comfortable. I highly recommend it."

Swamp Seat,October 14, 2008
By UpstateNYsportsmanfrom Upstate, New York
"I've always hunted waterfowl with a bucket. However, many areas of marsh and swamp are not condusive to using the bucket, due to uneven and flooded ground. I have been using the Swamp Seat this season and no matter where I decide to sit and shoot, the Swamp Seat is the perfect seat. It goes into the ground easily, stays firm and straight and is unbelievably comfortable. The only drawback is the length of the carry strap. It needs to be slightly longer so that you can sling it over your head. Carrying it over the shoulder while walking through rough terrain causes it to constantly slip and fall off my shoulder. Beyond the strap, it's the ideal seat for waterfowl hunting. Highly recommended!"
