Ducth Oven Cooks Everything!,September 8, 2009

"To get ready for Elk Hunting, I practiced cooking in my dutch oven. I made Flowering Meatloaf, Chicken Pesto Lasagna, Calzones, and even Molten Chocolate Cake. I even made a great pepperoni and sausage pizza and Domino's didn't deliver it! Everything turned out great and clean up was a breeze.
Since nobody wants to make dinner while hunting, the dutch oven allowed me to simply make it ahead of time, and then let it cook for hours. The smell of dinner cooking brought everyone in and the ease of making it was the best part.
I have several other pieces of Lodge and they now are part of my camping cooking.
These will be around for a long time."

"My husband remarked a few weeks before our camping trip that he would one day like to get a dutch oven and tripod to put over the campfire. I wound up purchasing the large dutch oven with the Tall-Boy tripod with the carrying bag. The quality is outstanding and was a huge hit with everyone who went.
