Great Scope for muzzleloader,November 16, 2009
By BBDownerfrom Western Oklahoma
"The discription speaks for itself and it does all that it says it does. I want to talk about light gathering. You will not believe how well this scope gathers light. For this price it goes way above and beyond. I have several brands of optics in rangefinders, riflescopes, spotting scopes and riflescopes. I love my german optics and some japanese optics but I try to buy american when I can. My wife purchased this scope for a muzzleloader she bought me and I was happy. This last muzzleloader season I was just about to get up and was scanning the area with my very nice german binos that retail for about $2500. I was seeing no deer I would spook and thought I will see how things look through this Leupold scope. Well I was amazed. I could see a much brighter picture than with my binos and the reticle was easily visible. It was dark enough to walk out and not spook game, you know when it is barely light enought to not stumble all the time, well after normal shooting light and the scope performed very well. For the price I don't think you can go wrong and I am recommending it to the guys I hunt with."

Amazing,November 10, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Grand Rapids, Michigan
"I use a T/C triumph 50 cal, with 250 grain super glides and 150 grains (3 pellets) of pyrodex. I sited this in at 100 yards and got a great grouping. Then I adjusted the scope to the "3 pellet" setting, used the point calibrated to 200 yards on the SA.B.R and got another great group on the target at 200 yards! I'm looking forward to using this set-up in the field this year."

Ultimate Slam,October 27, 2009
By nepaguyfrom Stroudsburg PA
"OMG!!! Way better then the Omega by Nikon. This scope zeroed easy as pie and has held that zero threw some hard shooting sessions. very easy to set up if your not using a 250 grain bullet. I'm shooting 350 grain and it took 10 second to make the adjustments for the BDC and I was on at 200 yards! Plus it's made in the USA!"

An opposite opinion,September 25, 2009
By Volpinofrom Olathe, Kansas
"Ok, here it goes, Leuopold makes great scopes, I agree, the system is great I agree, BUT if you want to bag a deer in any situation BEWARE, in Kansas where I hunt deer shows up at dusk, you only have a window of 15 - 30 minutes and that is it, yesterday I saw the deer with my eyes but not on the scope, I can see it again with my binoculars, not on the scope, I can see grey and that it is. So my conclusion, send it back to Cabelas, I need a scope I can depend on and this was not one I could, I was exited when it was developed but I just want you not to be disapointed on the light transmission of this one and when Mr. 150+ shows up you are able to SEE."

scope,September 19, 2009
By cappyjonesfrom Michigan
"I have Leupold's on all my rifles so I decided to get the UltimateSlam when I needed ML optics. The scope is great but the reticle doesn't work like they say it will. I was point of aim point of impact from 25 to 100 yards with my Bone Collector. I was shooting 3 pellets of 777 powder and 250 grain TC shockwaves. Having a rifle that shoots that flat I guess I'm not complaining. I don't have a range yet past 100 yards so I need to do some more testing."

Double G Outfitters,July 28, 2009
By bowbullhunterfrom Grants, NM
"I had been looking for a good scope to put on my TC Omega, but had a hard time desiding between the Leupold vs the Nikon Omega. My father-in-law has the Nikon, which is a very nice scope, but I have always like Leupolds, and from what people were telling me was that the Leupold was a little clearer then the Omega, and yes they were right it is clearer! and the reticle is a little bolder for low light shots. Can't wait to use it on an elk hunt this fall!

outstanding again from Leupold,July 26, 2009
By spydog2009
"I mounted this scope on my TC Triumph. I set it in steel waren bases with leupold steel double screw lock rings (weaver style) all purchased new. First trip to the range and I was impacting the target high and could not move the turret in the down direction any more. I left the range and had to shim the front ring up. I went back to the range and the magic started. TC 200 grain bullet over 120 grains of 777 FFFG was the ticket for me. Zeroed at 100 yards and everything worked out really well. At 212 yards I was consistently about 1/2" low with a 3" group. Max for the range and could extend distance. I really like the clarity and function of the scope and again Leupold has hit a grand slam with this product. I will say I shot a lot of bullets and loads and in my smoke pole what I listed above worked out the best for me out to 212 yards. I will be looking for a range with greater distance."

"Great scope! Anxious to try it at a longer ranges. I put this scope on the new Savage BP ML that cabelas offered last January. I think this scope will make the ML a legitimate 200yd gun! I am hopeful to try this combination with Antelope in the near future. Clarity of the scope is fantastic!!!!"

By BootsWfrom Il.
"Ths scope was easy to sight in . I sighted in at 100 yrs. Using both pointed and hollow point bullets 45 cal. 250 gr. and 50 cal sabot .451-.452 . I was able to hit a 1'' circle at this distance. I am impressed with the aim system . It lives up to manufactures' claims."

Leupold Ultra Slam,April 20, 2009
By Hunter610from Lakeland, Fla.
"After mounting the Ultra slam on my T/C Endeavor and bore sighting it. I started at 25 yards to zero it in then moved to 100 yards went through a box of sabots shots were all over the target, so I started over at 25 yards again zeroed it in then moved to 100 yards got within one inch below center but maxed out the clicks for the recticle. After 2 boxes of sabots an the scope was maxed out I sent it back for the Nikon Omega and hope to have better success. Leupold makes great scopes and this could have been a lemon that came my way. Customer service took care of my return and sent out the Nikon and didn't charge me for the shipping."

Another SUPERIOR Leupold product,January 15, 2009
By txskibumfrom South Texas
"I sighted in my Encore 50 with the Leupold Ultimate Slam on top earlier in the season and used it successfully to bag a nice deer. Using the Super Glide sabots, (3) 50 Triple 7 pellets, and the accuracy was amazing with 1.3 in groups. The marks for 50, 100, 150 was right on. I didn't have a chance to shoot longer distances but given the first 3 were dead on I see no reason to believe the remaining marks would not be too. Lens clarity is great. I would and have recommended this scope to several friends. I plan on poking a few pigs with it in the off season. My son may be getting one for his birthday..."

Perfect Fit For My Encore,January 6, 2009
By ReadyforOctoberfrom Harford County, MD
"This year I finally get to replace my tired old 3-9 riflescope on my TC Encore muzzleloader. The new Leupold Ultimate Slam (in silver matte) is a great match to the stainless on my gun, so aesthetically it couldn't be better. I just got it for Christmas so I haven't been to the range yet, but with Leupold's reputation of repeatable accuracy and legendary durability I think the results will be impressive.
The deciding factors in my choice in the Leupold over the Nikon Omega were first, the Leupold's ability to switch back and forth between 100 and 150 grains of powder without the need to re-zero and secondly the fact that the prices were virtually the same. Both manufacturers offer lifetime warranties and both have solid reputations, I just felt that the extra feature and the affordability of the Leupold set it apart from the Nikon.
I can't wait for early muzzleloader season in mid-October !!!"
