"JUST BOUGHT THIS LEAD SLED AND TRIED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME. CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH. THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE MOST ACCURATE WAYS TO SIGHT IN A RIFLE. NO MORE FLINCHING OR WONDERING IF THE RIFLE IS OFF OR WAS THE SHOT PULLED. WORTH EVERY PENNY OF THE PURCHASE PRICE."

"Forget anything else - you don't need it. This is the real deal (use the weights, though!). I was able to sight in my Ithaca 12 gauge deerslayer, my TC Omega, and shoot a bunch of rounds out of my son in law's 870. Perfect to get rid of the flinch, get the job done, and have no bruise. I wish I had one of these sooner. You don't need the fancy stuff; get the sled and be done!"

"I am not impressed with this product. Caldwell used to be the industry leader in kick reduction systems, but not sure anymore. They have a tray for lead bags to help with that reduction (kick). With Lead shot costing 40 or 50 dollars for 11 LBS of lead, guess how much it will cost to fill this tray. The tray also states you can put 25# weights in this area, it is to slim for any #25LB weight to be place here. You can use 10 LBS weights, but then you can only get three of them in here. The sled works, but there are others now on the market that have put some thought and R&D into them."

"Best gun rest I ever used. Very steady and virtually eliminated recoil. Used it with .270win and also with several Weatherby Magnum calibers. Added 25lbs of lead and no recoil at all. I bought the lead sled not for recoil reduction but looking for a rest that was more steady then my current rests. The lead sled filled the need perfectly. Recoil reduction was just plus."

"I have used the lead sled now for sighting in two scopes at the range for 30-06 and 223 cal. I used one 25 lb. bag of shot for weight in the amply sized weight tray. Adjustment of the sled was easy, some backward movement of the sled was experienced with each shot but not to the extent to be a problem. Padding on the butt and the front support could be better. I gave the product a 5 because in my opinion you can't do better for the price and it does as advertised."

"This works pretty good, but in sighting in a scoped .308 the gun wants to twist in the front support, so between sighting in, breath control, trigger squeeze and everything else I am doing at the time, it seems that some sort of clamp or strap to keep the gun from shifting left or right would be a good thing. I will have to see what I can come up with to cure all this and make it work better for me."
