Conversely, the pores retract during periods of inactivity to provide the heat retention you want taking a ride on the ski lift or breaking for a quick snack. The outer shell is further weatherproofed by a Spylon™ water-repellent finish that beads water on contact and repels moisture. Ventilation zippers also provide high-volume air circulation when the full sun raises your core temperature and you don't have time to shed a layer – after all, that would require stopping.
