"I purchased my set back in October and have had several oppotunities to check it out in the field. Overall I say it is a good deal. When you compare just the rangefinder to equivalent priced range finders it works well. I have ranged moving deer at 179 yards and still deer at 205 yards. I have not seen any animals out past that to range yet. I have ranged fixed objects at as much as 1100 yards. The readout is legible throughout the ethical shooting times (based on available daylight). The modes swicht fairly easily and the ballistic charts are a nice feature. (match your ballistics to the chart and the arc will tell you how much to compensate) The binos are nice and clear, a little slow to focus but have good field of view. Light gathering at dusk and dawn was better than i expected. They obviously dont compare to $400.00 plus binos but for field use have worked well for glassing an area. You can throw the video away and not have missed anything. the knife is a nice touch. It is not one I would rely on but it is a nice added feature. If you are looking for a range finder I would recomend the set. After all for the same money you can have this or an equivalent range finder by its self, or you can get the extras pretty much for free."

"Read alot of reviews before ordering, wasnt sure about a few things so ill try and clear them up for anyone who is wondering. Rangefinder works awesome and is very user friendly, ranges distances quick and very accurate, impressed to say the least. The binoculars you get are indeed the Bushnell 10x42 H20's and they were the biggest surprise for me. I honestly thought they would be low end but was pleasantly surprised with their clarity, durability and overall fit and finish. Ive put it all to the test and it has all done well. The knife is no eighty dollar knife, but is decent quality and should work nice once i put a good edge on it. DVD is decent, its free so who really cares. Overall this combo cannot be beat, excellent price, excellent product, excellent service from Cabela's. My advice: buy it now!

"This package is unbeatable if you are looking to buy a range finder, could use and extra set of binos, and wouldn't mind an extra knife. The rangefinder is fantastic, there might be better out there, but not for the price. If you actually learn the different functions built into this rangefinder, and use them properly, it can do whatever you could possibly need it to do in regular hunting situations. The binos aren't top notch by any means, but they are not a bad set at all. Especially when you consider that this package is the same price as the rangefinder alone almost anywhere else you can find it. And then most surprising, I was certain the knife would be a piece of junk, not so much. Solid built knife, although I'm not completely certain how well it holds an edge yet. I think it will be a handy knife to throw in the truck. There is simply no way to call this combo anything less than a fantastic deal. I will argue anyone on that."

"I got the combo b/c i needed some rangefinders, and i liked the bino's that were in the package. I gave the total package 5 stars because for the price you really cannot beat what you get. Bino's are heavy, but made well. Haven't had any issues with them in rain either. Rangefinder - farthest i have been able to distance was 750yds. it was a big building on an overcast day. The arc compensator in it is pretty cool. It also has different modes that arent difficult to use, and come in pretty handy. The knife was way better than i thought it would be. It's not gonna replace my current pocket knife, but its nice."

"I went into this purchase not expecting outstanding quality equipment. I figured the binos were free, so why not? I drew a tag for elk this year and took the range finder out with me. The farthest I got a reading was 722 yards on a group of trees. My wife loves how little and compact the range finder is but she can hardly get a reading beyond 300 yards(wiggles too much). For the 722 yard range, I supported myself on a tree. I really think that is why some of the other reviewers had problems ranging out very far. The range for the shot was spot on accurate. The carrying case has a magnet that holds it shut and doesn't make a sound when opening and closing. Bumber when you stalk so quietly and your bino case velcro alarms the game."

"I will use the range finder for under 200yd distances for both Shotgun and Archery. It seems to work well at those distances.
Binoculars I would not recommend to elk at long distances, but counting points and brow tines at 150yds is fine.
Overall- I would recommend to a friend and the combo was a good deal. If you are planning for a western hunt, buy the right gear and forget the combo."

"I purchased the Scout ARC 1000 with budget in mind knowing you get what you pay for. I just received product today. I opened the box and look through the eyepiece and cannot believe what I see.......trash inside the optics. Very dirty! I put the battery in and ranged a couple of near targets with good success. I ranged a dark tree line approx. 100 yards away and could not see the readout very well and had to raise towards the sky to read. The readout is not very friendly in low light at all. Upon further opening of the package of products, I open the knife. It looks nothing like the actual advertised picture and the screws that hold the pocket clip on the side of the knife are stripped out and loose. I am not at all happy with this purchase. Rangefinder is probably adequate but I will never know as I am shipping back for a full refund. I will gladly pay a little extra for another brand. I was so looking forward to this product as there are many good reviews for it. Despite my poor review for this product, and should buy this product anyway, hopefully you will not have the same experience. I don't think that this is a bad product; I just think there is little to no quality control!!!"
