"These shoes are quite good work shoes (standing work) for the money, so far... I am comparing them to shoes I know and like, the Irish Setter Legends, which cost twice as much and are rugged work shoes.
Compared to the Legends, the Sportsman's stand up well. They look less like a boot, but they have a sturdy Vibram sole nicely welt stitched to the uppers, which the Legends do not have. (That is the weakest part of the Legends). The Trask's are comfortable on my feet. They run true to size.
Good shoe, good value. I will comment later on how they do after a longer period."

"Nice shoes at the bargain or sale price. However, they run large/long. I wear a 13 US or 46 in Euro sizes, and with these I ordered a 13. They ran larger than most other 13's i have tried. I did not order a 12 to try, but suspect they may have worked. Width is true to size. Great shoe if you can find a size that fits your foot. I have owned 3 other pir of trask shoes, and really like them."

"I bought these shoes to wear to work (business casual) and go out on job sites. They look good enough to wear with jeans or khakis to the office and tough enough to walk around construction sites. My only complaint is that they aren't taller like a Chukka boot. However, the price was right (on sale) and these are fairly lightweight and plenty comfortable."

"Nice shoes, but had to return them since I have a high instep. Looks great and i'm sure works great in the field. Ordering shoes on line is difficult for some. I own two other pairs of H.S. Trask shoes. They wear like iron. With proper care, could last almost a lifetime."
