"My son wanted a down coat but I was unwilling to pay the price for 600 + downfill in the name brands as he is still growing. This is a great value for the price. He loves it; it's warm and lightweight. He especially loves the hood that covers nose/mouth on cold mornings. I am going to order a Cabellas down coat for myself. I have washed it and it launders BEAUTIFULLY! I ordered black and it did not fade; looks great. If you're considering it, GO 4 IT!"

"Great for the kids to jump in the car or for traveling. Light weight and packable. Nice high collar and great hood (don't really need a hat). Would probably not recommend for heavy outdoor use. Kind of lightweight for that. Zipper could be a bit heavier. Not sure how long it will last with boys trying to zip them up."

"I was looking for a thicker, warmer coat, like one to wear in Alaskan winters! This is a nice thinner down coat for the money, and it runs a little on the large size too. I just wanted a coat like I had bought for my daughter years before, one that is inches thick with down and has a coyote fur trimmed hood!"

"Nice lightweight but warm coat. My son does not like a bulky coat that inhibits movement. This coat is great for him. Also a longer style so will be great when playing in the snow."
