Constructed of our new softshell material that is inspired by the most advanced mountaineering softshell technology in the world. We engineered these garments to optimize range of motion and put an end to outerwear that binds or restricts movement. The three-layer softshell material is DWR-treated for water resistance. The shell's smooth face ensures water rolls off easily. Windproof WindShear™ membrane under the shell is bonded to a soft fleece interior, and the result is stretchable performance fabric that moves with you in a bulk-reducing athletic fit. It's an all-purpose hunting jacket more than capable of keeping you comfortable across a wide range of weather conditions. Articulated sleeves add to the freedom of movement. A stand-up collar with a soft, chafe-eliminating fleece top shields your neck from cold. Three zippered pockets with waterproof zippers, and a full-length front zipper with a pull garage at the top to seal out the elements. Velcro®-adjustable cuffs. A drop tail gives additional protection from chilly winds. Imported.
Camo patterns:Realtree® AP HD®, Outfitter Camo™, Mossy Oak® Treestand®.

Perfect Medium weight,October 27, 2009
By Anonymousfrom South Alabama
"While I agree with some of the other reviewers, this is not a jacket for bow hunters. Since I'm not a bow hunter though, this is perfect. Got it on sale so it's really bang for your buck. Nice medium weight for those early to mid season hunts here in south Alabama. Fit's nice too. It's not big and bulky like hunting clothes have been in the past. Paired it up with the Microtex uninsulated pants and I'm loving it."

"I wanted this because I needed a new bowhunting suit, we just returned it b/c it's way too noisy. The appearance it great, but not what I was looking for being a bowhunter."

excellent use of materials,August 3, 2009
By huntumfrom montana
"it is very hard to find a waterproof jacket that breathes. though this jacket is not fully waterproof it will stand up to a lot of water. It's windshear core and stretchy outside make it ideal for cold wheather HIKING (not sitting). The only thing that it really lacks is quietness. brand new it will make a woosh woosh noise but gets better after its washed several times. overall it is an excellent product for its price!!!"

I think it's great,July 24, 2009
By BiggestGameHunter
"I'll admit, this is a little louder than I anticipated, but I've found the construction to be excellent. I've got the outfitter camo and found these pieces to work fantastic for stalking WY antelope when it is cool in the morning/late evening. I came back to get another set in AP at this price!"

"Somehow I got the impression that this jacket was quiet, This jacket is not quiet and that is very important to me, I probily could have returned it. Other than that the jacket seems to be kind of nice. BEWARE OF THE WORD SOFTSHELL!!!"

Almost Like Nylon,October 28, 2008
By DiamondHunterfrom Las Vegas, NV
"The material that the jacket was made out of was like nylon which was noisy. The name Mountain Extreme and Softshell are misleading. Not a good jacket for a hunter who stalks big game like elk or mule deer. I don't know about it's warmth or water proofing. I sent the item back immediately. I considered using it for pheasant hunting because it didn't seem like it would collect burrs, stickers, etc."

Too LOUD,August 27, 2008
By 1973
"Pants and jacket seemed like quality construction and felt good on. However, the first thing I noticed was the material was loud if rubbed against itself. In fact my wife, who never hunted a day in her life, said right away, "isn't that too loud to hunt in." I returned it the next day."

Too noisy!!!,August 22, 2008
By Bridog64
"After trying on the UA derecho jacket and sitka gear 90% jackets at a retail store I thought I would mail order this jacket.I really like the outfitter pattern but the fabric on this jacket is much noisier than the fabrics mentioned above.I returned the jacket for a refund. In my opinion this does not measure up to the other high end garments available today."

Not for Bowhunting,August 20, 2008
By NormTBfrom Auburn, CA
"I just received this jacket and it was not what I expected. I'm looking for a high quality, lightweight, non-hooded, water proof or resistant, quiet jacket that I can use during western bowhunts for elk and deer. This jacket appears to meet all of my requirements except for being quiet. The outer fabric is much too slick and is very noisy when just walking and swinging my arms in a normal motion. Trying to slip through trees / brush with this jacket will have the ears of every elk or mule deer in the county pointed right at me. I love Cabela's and have purchased most all of my hunting gear from them. This one is being returned. They missed on this one. It is not a big game hunting garment."
