We built our soon-to-be legendary X-Teepee based on comfort, compactness and the classic design that was made famous by native Americans. The lightweight, yet rugged polyester 250-denier oxford, Polyurethane- and UV-treated fabric will keep rain and water outside where it belongs as well as hold up against the sun's damaging rays. A strong 210-denier Polyurethane-treated nylon oxford barrier keeps the floor and lower walls protected against any moisture on the ground. Strategically placed No-See-Um mesh in the bottom vents lets air flow through on hot days. All seams are fully seam-taped for reinforced strength and protection from the elements. Best of all, the X-Teepee sports a single-pole design with a D-ring on top so you've only got one pole to deal with, or hang it for even lighter and faster options. The E-Z adjust guide line inside pulls open the vent in the top for ventilation or watching the night sky. The center pole is made of galvanized steel to meet the demands of your outdoor adventure. The main entrance sports a durable YKK® zipper. Three inside patented mesh pockets with cup holders to hold personal items. Steel ground stakes and durable guide ropes. Includes zippered storage bag. "The teepee is a great way to camp. It stays fresh, the air stays comfortable with the ventalation. It has room for a good size family. I had myself and 3 teens and to younger in the teepee and on a rainy day we stayed dry and there was room for games."

"Pro- Easy set-up by one adult, Lots of room for large family, Kids had a lot of fun playing in & around the tent, Almost everyone in the campground stopped and asked about the tent.
Con- If it were a "pole section" higher,the walls might be steep enough to allow an eye level window for visibility and venting, I was not able to take advantage of the "Cone Opening" due to flying insect issues.
Overall, it is great fun and easy."

Odd Niche Tent - Well Built,April 20, 2009

"I got this for the grandkids, and lighter and easier for me than my present wall tent. Different, but roomy; just used it the opening of OR turkey season - little snow, little rain & lots of wind. The tent heated well with small propane heater, had plenty of room for low cot, kitchen cooking table, small side eating table & deck chair; easily would have been able to slip in another cot and chair. I don't like having to get down n my hands and knees for the bottom door zipper; but was highly impressed with the quality of design and construction details - spreading the stress contact points as well as reenforcing same. The top vent is excellent for venting cooking steam and reducing interior humidity.
I don't know whether I would use this at anything but a spike elk camp, but in the summer winds along the Deschutes it will be ideal with no flat sides to fight the wind."

A Little Traditional- A Little Modern,February 3, 2009

"I'm into traditional archery and I've looked at teepees for years kinda wanting one to take on club hunts and use at 3-D shoots but just did not want to spend the kind of money it cost to buy a canvas one to say nothing of having to trainsport the poles to put it up. I have friends with the Outback Lodge but I knew there were issues with the zipper on the front door of that tent and this one has a YKK zipper that I thought would be better and it is Much Better !! Tent goes up very easy and has lots of room both for standing up and storing your stuff. Very well vented and can be heated easy with a small tent heater(just be careful). One thing the add said that I thought the tent had that it did not was a mesh vent in the top when the sky light is open, the add said "The E-Z adjust quide line inside pulls open the mesh vent in the top for ventilation or watching the night sky." There's no mesh in the top pull open vent so if your camping in hot weather were there are bugs they can come in through the vent if it's left open at night. One thing I wish they would have added also in addition the the meshed top vent, is a screen on the door as this would have allowed the tent to be left open for better ventilation in hot weather. But I guess you can't have everything at this price. The Xtreme-Teepee does vent well with the three bottom zip-open side vents and the top hooded vents it's just you can't leave the door open to see out if there are bitting bugs around. Also don't waste you money on the floor saver, it's the one used on the Alaskan Guide 8 man tent but it is not big enough to cover all the floor of the Teepee due to it's 15' foot print and it's made out of very lite and thin plastic, just get a 15X20 polly tarp and cut one out, it will work great.
One thing I can say is that this tent will attract a lot of attention and everyone want to look inside and their impressed with the room.
I would buy it again if something happen to this one. Hope this helped.

"I have serveral tents including two Outback Lodge Tents and one Alaknak and I purchased this one because it was different and sort of fun to have. I liked it for what it is. Lots of space but no mug holders as advertised. It was very easy to set up and I did that by myself without any difficulty. Lots of space, good ventalation, unique and interesting. There was lots of discussion when it first went up. We had some rain but there were no leaks and it seemed to do just fine in the wind. I would suggest a better ground cover for it - perhaps one especially designed for this particular tent. Have fun..."
