Customer Product Reviews
Recreate a part of history with a replica cannon used by the armies of both North and South during the Civil War. The Napoleon III is offered in a .69 caliber and .50 caliber mini version. Both have the look and feel of a working piece of artillery. Metal rimmed wheels for an authentic look. Historically, the canon was developed in France for Emperor Napoleon III in the 1850s, but later became the most common canon used in the Civil War. The bronze smoothbore shot 12-pound round canonballs. It was light enough to move easily, yet heavy enough to destroy field fortifications almost a mile away. This replica is easy to clean with a swab cloth dampened in muzzleloading cleaning solvent run down the bore.
