White light run time is 28 hours, and run time on any of the RGB settings is 40-64 hours (depending on color) on three AAA batteries (not included).
You can adjust the angle of inclination to direct light where you want it, and the full-fit elastic headband adjusts as well.

"This is a great lamp. The on off button can take a little getting used to in order to locate it by feel and the the straps could adjust out a fraction larger, but it is still a great lamp. The spot light is strong and reaches out much further than I expected and the other colors give you plenty of light to work with or travel by without alerting everything to your presence. This lamp also has two more angle adjustments on the lamp housing to help put the beam exactly where you need it. It's a lot easier to carry things in and out of the woods/water when you don't have to carry a light by hand. Buy with confidence."

"I used it this summer and was a big fan of the brighter than most white lamp along with the color options. At some point early on something became haywire with the on/off switch because the lamp would dimly flicker on with minimal agitation even when the switch was off and then it took a few clicks on and off to either get the thing to stay fully on or turn completely off."

"The head lamp worked fine, EXCEPT the battery low indicator did NOT light. Cabelas replaced the unit with the same results. I may be that it lights when the battery voltage, but that is NOT what was stated, and Cabellas Tech Support didn't have an answer."

"I put fresh batteries into the lamp, but it would not work. I tried more batteries and tested the batteries in another lamp.

"I recently purchased this headlamp because a hunting buddy had a similar one when we went hunting last fall. I had always carried a small flashlight and had it on a lanyard. The different color choices and the fact that you have your hand free while walking in the dark sold me on buying one for myself. I am now glad I did. The color choices are white (which is very bright), red, green (which is best to use when hunting since this color does not seem to spook game like other colors), and blue. The lamp adjusts so that the light can shine out farther or right in front of you, as needed. The headband adjusts to even larger heads like mine and can easily fit over your hunting hat. I is lightweight and easily folds to fit in your fanny or day pack. It takes two AAA batteries and I believe the batteries will last a long time."

"I've been looking a long time for a multi use Headlamp. The basic LED light is very good, it's bright and can be used either straight ahead or down for direct trail use. It also has Green/Red and Blue lighting, I needed the Green for early and late during dark trail use and not spook game with a bright light.
The battery changing is very easy and it can be done without carring a special tool to open."

"Whoa!! You've got to know that this is one bright light! Killer light and a good beam. Red, Green and blue LEDs are great lights too. For the price, this is highly suggested. "Not a bad product. Batteries seem to last and the beam is pretty bright from the center white lamp. The three colors have a limited use for general hiking, but the blue and red are cool to play with. The only interesting thing is that the colors are all focused at a different point, so you'll need to adjust the lamp every time you change colors. I don't like the screw mechanism for the battery case, its a pain to open. Wish it used AA instead of AAA for more on time. Overall, a solid lamp though."

"I bought this product for use while bowhunting. I removed it from the package and put in brand new batteries, but it DID NOT work. If you pressed on the light panel just the right way it would flicker. I sent it back immediately. I was not impressed by the quality/workmanship (cheap plastic) and would NOT recommend it. Over the years I've had good luck with Cabela's gear, but I was really disappointed with this item."
