Now,I can see past some small things when ordering on line but when I tried them on I could not take them off! I fell in love with my new boots. "The new Outfitter Pro boots appear to be an excellent evolution of the previous Outfitter line. After several days of hunting in the foothills of NC & essentially never taking these boots off they handled the abuse of constant exposure to flint rock, steep hills & briars. I've had to abandon my boots with wedge/kletterlift type soles because they tend to separate prematurely or at embarassing times. The Outfitter Pro has a superior sole & I believe is an elite boot. Thanks for doing your homework & making a quality product."

"I bought these boots to replace a pair of older outfitter series boots after wearing those for about 10 years. Again, I was impressed with the quality and comfort. I used the new pair in the field after breaking them in around the house for a day without any problems. Even after several hours of chasing pheasants in the snow my feet were comfortable and dry. I would expect to get another 10 years from these boots."

"I purchased these boots one week before leaving for a 8 day hunt in Texas...... I took them out the box the night before leaving and they felt awesome. Once in Texas, only took them off to sleep......The weather was in the 30's and I got stuck in the rain for 4hrs during a morning hunt, I stayed dry, no blisters,no sore feet, and one very satisified customer!

"I was not very pleased. The first pair had a strange lump in the right boot. The left boot fit pretty good. I sent them back for another pair. The new pair has no lumps but are not as wide as the first pair. They are ok, I expected better for a boot that Cabela's is bragging about so hard. Like I said they are ok, nothing great."

"This is the first hunting trip in years, that I was able to complete my Eight day hunting trip with dry warm feet. Ido alot of walking , through snow, slush, marshes, wet grass and muddy ravines. The boots were excellent. they not only kept my feet dry and warm, but were comftorble and never hurt my feet. This is a feat in itself as i received them the day before leaving and had no break in period. the grip supplied superb traction. During the day i also spent three to four hours sitting in my tree stand, and my feet never got cold. Highly reccomend, and would not hesitate to purchase another pair for myself if ever needed or my son. Hope they are available for any more years."

"I purchased the 400 gram Outfitter (Scentlok) series boots before I went on an October Elk hunt in Colorado. I wore them lightly around the house to break them in. Apparently, I did break them in enough because by the end of the 1 week hunt both of my heels were bloody from wearing these boots. They seemed to be constructed well, but left me limping around camp all week. I've been hunting for 15 years and have never had this problem with any other boot."

"when i ordered these boots i expected to get another great product from cabelas. these boot exceeded all my expectations. after 2 days of upland hunting in the rain, sleet, and snow with temps never reaching above 35 degrees, my feet were dry, warm, and comfortable. they are very light weight and supportive. the waterproofing is top notch. these are by far the best boots i have owned. highly recommed!"

"I bought these boots this year to replace some older rockies that i had. i was skeptical on ordering these bacuse of sizing but they fit me perfectly. D width is for normal size so i ordered a d size 12(normal shoe size) and they have a little bit of play but they will break in and get looser with time. Overall these boots are awesome quality and they have a supple, durable feel to them. Great boots!"

"I first have to say that this review is based only on my experiences trying them on in the store. I didn't end up purchasing them.
With that said, I was a little disappointed. The store was very helpful, and ordered several pair for me to try on. The service was great. When they came, I found that they were all too wide. Even the pair that was the right length for my foot was too wide. I have tried on other Cabela's boots in the past and had the same problem. Therefore, if you have a narrow foot like mine, this is probably not gonna work for you. Second the sole did not feel like it had a full shank in it. It might, but no one could tell me and it felt like it flexed a little too much. I've worn lots of different types of hiking and hunting boots, and I can usually tell pretty well. The tread on the sole was great, but it just didn't feel solid enough for my expectations (and I'm only 155 lbs.). The third problem was that the tongue had so much padding in it that I had a real hard time getting the boots laced up around it without the tongue binding up and being uncomfortable.
Other than those three complaints, the boots were fine. The leather seemed good quality. The construction seemed fine. The price was pretty good. I'd probably have bought them regardless of the issues with the tongue and soles, if only they had been narrow enough to fit my feet. Like I said, they weren't bad, but they weren't great."

"I just purchases a pair of Cabela's 9" 400 gram Outfitter Series boots and must say I am impressed. I went to the retail store in person to make sure I got a boot that fit me properly and get a "feel" for what I wanted in a boot for a mtn elk hunt. I had planned on a pair of high end "name boots" but upon trying several pairs on I had narrowed the field to one in particular. The Outfitter Series had such a comfortable feel due to it's leather which is soft enough to feel "broke in" yet stiff enough to feel durable. Sole has exceptional tread and load cushioning. A aftermarket footbed may be all it takes to make this boot the last pair I buy."
