Since they first hit the pages of our catalog 14 years ago, our Outfitter Series boots have risen to the top of our legendary family of hunting boots to claim their spot as our best-selling hunting boots of all time a title they still hold today. Outfitter Pro Series,February 5, 2010
By jetvettefrom Oregon
"Very nice workmanship, nice leathers, they were comfortable. I ordered a 13 EE (wide). I jump between a 12 and 13 D or EE depending on boot cut and manufacturer. I'm 6'2" at 215 lbs with normal feet and legs. The length was true as was the width in the ball of the foot. However, the boot was very wide in the heel, arch and ankle area. If you have a wide foot/heel/ankle overall, these would be ideal for you. They just had a little to much room in the needed support areas. Unfortunately, I had to return them."

boot review,January 28, 2010
By huntsthewoodsfrom Maine
"I bought these boots late in the Summer of '09 for the upcoming deer season in the Fall. As common sense should dictate, you need to wear them around a little to break them in, but the break in period was easy. Over the course of the regular firearm season, and the following two week muzzle loading season in to December, these boots never let me down period, and I put them through the ringer. They were subjected to hours of snow practically up to my knees and they offered not only great ankle support, but kept my feet warm, even while sitting for long periods of time. I forded brooks with them, and I trudged through swampy areas----same result. Warm & dry. The nice part is that I wore just one conventional pair of tube socks, and they weren't wool or any special hunting sock. Two observations: Choose the type of terrain you think you're going to hunt in the most, and let that dictate the height of your boot. I knew I'd be doing some wading, so I bought the higher boot. Secondly, order the next size up. The thinsulate works great, yet obviously takes up a little room so be smart and allow for that. Lastly, forget what all the whiners say. This is a quality hunting boot and a great value for the money. I have put it through every hunting extreme, and it is, without a doubt, the best hunting boot I've ever used in 40 years of hunting."

Toasty Warm and Comfortable,December 9, 2009
By soundmaster31from Southern Michigan
"Ordered these boots on sale for a great price with the intended use for snow blowing and outdoor work in the winter. Hoped they would be small enough to use on my motorcycle in cooler weather too but they are HUGE. They remind me of pac boots or ski boots even. Hopefully they'll still work for that though. Too much snow/ice on the ground right now to get the bike out.
The materials are top notch. Nice leather throughout and a good Vibram sole. The fit is pretty true to size. Only complaints on fit would be that the heel cup might be a little loose for some and since the tongue is sewn to the rest of the shoe for waterproofing the opening for your foot to go in is a little on the small side. I wear size 14's and the length is good and height is good but when I put them on the opening is just a little narrow for me. Makes it kind of a chore to get on and off. Once they're on though they're very comfortable and WARM. Hopefully the opening will stretch a little as the boot breaks in. Great fit out of the box though.
All in all it is a great boot. The only thing I'd change is a little more material added to the tongue so it's a wider opening to fit your foot through."

Make sure of your size,November 10, 2009
By CatahoulaParishfrom 4 Rivers, Louisiana
"I got my boots in, and they were too tight. I wear an 11 in all my other footwear. I tried these boots on with a pair of crew socks and there just wasn't enough room. Sent them back and ordered an 11.5 to try. The next pair came in a day earlier than promised and fit perfect with a cotton crew sock. They might be a little tight with a thick wool sock. I suggest anyone order a half size larger than what they normally wear. They are a little heavy, but other than that they seem to be a great pair of hunting boots. Good Luck & Hunt Safe Everyone."

best boots ever,September 21, 2009
By GwitchinBoyfrom Anchorage Alaska
"This is my second pair of outfitter boots. The first pair lasted 9 seasons of hunting in Alaska before finally springing a leak. This time, I got the Pro version, and I just returned from a 10 day moose hunt. I walked over tundra, through swamps, and stood all day in a leaky boat. These boots performed! The wider placement of the lacing makes it easier to put 'em on and take 'em off. They need no break in, and are very comfortable right out of the box. All my hunting buddies wish they had a pair."

"I've been buying boots from Cabela's for 20+ years and by far these boots have topped them all. While they may be a bit on the heavy side they have the best leather I have ever had in a boot. Size is perfect, toe area and heal alike. Order your size and you won't be disappointed."

Best boots ever,February 10, 2009
By Drake59from Southern Ohio
"These are the best boots I ever owned. I bought them to field hunt ducks and geese, they kept my feet warm and dry all day long and the mud cleaned out of the soles very easily. Much easier than my waders. The boots clean up easily with a wet towel. I now wear them everyday, very comfortable to walk in and do outside chores in. Great in the snow and ice we recently had. The only thing I would change would be more conventional lace eyes on the shaft of the boot instead of the speed laces."

Still Waiting For Comfort,December 25, 2008
By pahunter171from Sacramento, PA
"I bought these boots expecting a good deal on some all leather insulated boots. I got just that and not a bit more. The leather and the vibram sole is just about all these boots have going for them. The laces tore after the 2nd use, and the puffy insulation in the tongue keeps the new laces I put in from laying correctly. Also, the heel cup is extremely stiff, and it digs into the achilles tendon above your heel. I've felt this before with other boots but they eventually broke down as the boots became worn in. I've logged a good twenty miles in these boots, however, and still no break in to be seen. I'm still hoping for the leather to loosen up a little bit. I will say that the waterproofing is top-notch though. Not a wet spot yet after long, wet archery and rifle seasons. I'd recommend them to a stand hunter not expecting to walk too much but still wanting a warm, waterproof boot."

11" Outfitter Series Pro,November 19, 2008
By AdirondackHunter82
"If your in the market for a rugged do anything, go anywhere hunting boot, I would recommend this boot. This season I've logged close to 30 miles in these boots to break them in. I didn't treat the leather yet however I will at the end of the season. As expected my feet have stayed warm on the cold & snowy days, and extremely dry after hunting through streams & swamps. They are however a bit heavy but I've yet to find a good all around boot that's lightweight."

Excellent Boot,November 12, 2008
By HuckleberryBluefrom Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada
"I bought this boot through the internet, therefore I did not get a chance to try them on. When they arrived I put them right on straight from the box and went for a 4 km walk with my dog. The boots felt like I had worn them for years. I have nothing bad to say about these boots and would recommend this product to any avid outdoorsman or women. Thanks Cabela's!"

New Boots,October 27, 2008
By Woodsmaster742from Traverse City, Michigan
"I recently purchased these boots, and I am happy with the fit, comfort, and looks. I like a tall boot, and wish they were about 13" or 14" inches tall instead of the 11" height. They seem to be light weight and warm, although I have not had a chance to test them in the field yet, due to warm weather. I am trying to replace my insulated pac boot with these. I hope they keep my feet warm, for a late season Michigan deer hunt."
