"They work well. My second pair of radios made by Midland. These are easy to use. They obviously do not have the range that they advertise but work as well as any others. They are NOT water resistant as advertised which is evident by the lack of a plug for the ear bud. A friend of mine has the real water resistant version and there is a large plug for this Jack.
Not really a big deal since I usually have the ear piece in while hunting.
I gave them a 4 star rating because of the lack of water resistance only! Midlands have always worked better then any other brand for me."

"Great radio, but will only reach 30 miles in the most optimum conditions. Using them in mountainus conditions and will only reach a mile when batteries are fully charged. Long battery life, great charger, pretty tough."

"I bought these radios to use when we hunt and go camping. So far we took them out for a test run over the Christmas break. They worked great. We were Four wheeling in 4 trucks, with sometimes 5-6 miles in between, clear reception. As a added plus, my father is disabled and can not drive. He has one radio at his appartment in town and I have one at my house 12 miles away. I can hear him just like a cell phone. You will have to spend about 1-2 hours reading the manual, and getting use to the radio. It has alot of bells and whisles that you have to navagate though. All in all a great product for the price. Larry"

"These are the 3rd pair of radios that my friends and I have tried in the last 3 yrs. We have tried Motorola's in the past and they were less than satisfactory. The midlands actually work much better in thick woods. I would say about 300 yds in thick woods and very well in the open. They work where the other radios would not. Get the upgraded dual mics. They are much better than the standard. Skip the other radios and get these."

"Very pleased with these radios. The battery life was better than expected. They lasted all weekend for the gun deer season. I also liked the animal calls way better than the annoying and loud tones and they even worked on the two radios that don't have them. These radios transmitted the animal calls to the other radios. I'm not sure about the range, I'll find out in the summer when I'm trolling, but they went at least 2 miles in the woods. The NOAA weather will also come in handy on the water. ( I got caught in a thunderstorm this summer. Never been so wet.) Drop-in charger is a bonus."

"Radio has good clear sound quality, mike button is easy to find and operate, even with gloves. I like having the animal call tones, you're not going to scare every animal in hearing range if you accidently hit the call button. The range varies depending on terrain, like any radio of this type, but is good for a walkie talkie. The only complaint that I have regarding the radio is that the battery indicator did not give any indication that the battery pack was low until the radio quit working."

"Excellent radios. These are by far the best radios I have ever had. Ive had all motorolla models and they do not even come close. They do not get 40 miles as claimed even in perfect conditions but they do work a long ways even in side biuldings."

"On a recent hunting trip, five of us had Midland GXT775 radio's. They all worked very well, and our communication was good even in most canyons. The distance was better than most radio's that we have used in the past. I also purchaced the 12 volt charger. (very handy) The battery on these radio's lasted a long time.
