Comfortable but poor quality,

"I tried on a pair at the local Cabela's and found them to be a great fit to my feet so I bought a pair. But after 3 weeks counting a short break in period and 2 weeks of use While Archery hunting the stitching at the balls of my feet tore and opened up the boot on my right foot and shortly after the left boot stitching fell apart in the same place.
The boots got me through the 2 weeks, I called Cabelas store where I purchased them and they told me to return them no Questions asked! I returned them to the store and opted to get a pair of Meindl Perfekt hunter boots instead of a replacement pair.
I will say the boots were comfortable and great traction, but upon short life span for me I wouldn't recommend them, but who knows others have had better luck. Cabela's stands behind there products better than anyone..

Sufficient for Pronghorn,

"My son and I purchased a pair each of these boots. We hunt pronghorn in western Wyoming. Relatively quick break-in. "Water-resistant", not "water-proof" as they take on water after continuous contact with water or snow. Comfortable for miles of walking. Some of our stalks were several miles. Good value for price paid. Because not water-proof can't give 5 stars."

Stretch out of shape,

"I bought these boots for a hunting trip to Colorado in 13 W. They fit good for the first mile, then I had to re-tighten them. After the second mile to had to re-tighten them. Every mile I had to re-tighten them. They just keep stretching to the point where I have to wear 2 pair of THICK socks and the laces are beginning to meet at the top. Soon they won't even tighten on my feet and will be useless. These aren't boots; they are loose slippers now. If you have to buy them get them super tight and let them loosen up and have extra socks on hand, 'cause you're going to need them to get the boots tight. Better yet, don't buy them."

"I just purchased these boots mainly for antelope hunting in early fall in Wyoming...Well luck would have it, the weather changed from 75 degrees to rain, then to 6" of snow! I had these boots on during all the weather changes. I was in the rain for 2 to 3 hours and in the snow for about the same time. My feet kept dry the entire time. I had on a pair of Cabelas medium weight hunting socks and they kept my feet warm. These are GREAT boots! They were very comfortable from the minute I wore them! I would recommend these to all of my hunting buddy's!"

Buy the Cabelas Pinnacle Boot Instead,

"I purchased a pair of these quest boots to replace a pair of Vasque Boots I've had for years. I intened to use these for huning elk in Central Utah area but to break them in I wore them on some short hikes and took them Antelope Hunting.
I will say they are very comfortable, the problem I had was the black toe guard goes back too far and you don't have the strength you normally get from stitching that runs typically toward the front outside part of a boot.
My pair after getting a little wet swelled or stretched causing the sole to extend up into the boot and make them very uncomfortable to walk on any side hills or uneven terrain.
I immediately took them back and got the Pinnacle Scentlok boot--which is very comfortable, better built, and for $20 more bucks- why not get the Scentlok."

Great boots,

"I was worried about getting these boots because of the low price. The boots that I saw in local stores at that price were of poor quality, support, and flat on the insole.
I was very pleased when these arrived to find they fit wonderfully - with a good arch support which is so important to good foot health and keeping your feet from fatiguing easily - and the quality was very good. The boots are light but stiff enough to provide good support on rough terrain. Size was almost perfect - only slightly large with medium socks - which is perfect for colder weather and thicker socks. I have not had the opportunity to use them in really wet conditions yet but the dew-wet fields have yet to broach the waterproofness and breathability. Thanks Cabellas!"

"This boot is quit possibly one of the best boots that I have ever owned, and at this price a person will want a couple of pair so that they have time to dry between days in the field. I have been wearing this boot out in 6 to 8 inches of snow with heavy wool socks and I have not had my feet wet once. I will be ordering a pair of the 9" insulated boots in the near future. Thanks Cabela's for a great boot."
