"The Artic long down coat is WONDERFUl - warm and so very comfortable! The only down side is the zipper. Because the zipper is 2 way (unzips from the bottom for more comfort driving and sitting), it takes a bit of patience and work to get the zipper zipped up the first time. Once zipped - the 2 way up/down works great! It doesn't stick and is a breeze to unzip. If you're in a hurry, you probably won't get it zipped at all. But overall - I love the coat."

"Bought this coat (in the beige) for my college-age daughter's birthday. She has not seen it, but I tried it on. It's gorgeous and she will love it. I like that it's machine washable, with a beautiful, removable coyote fur trim. I will buy one for myself for this next winter in a cranberry color."

"After reading the review of those who live in Minnesota and knowing that Syracuse, NY, is a twin to the weather there, I decided to purchase this coat. With all the snow and wind we've had this winter, this coat came to the rescue. It's wonderfully warm and cozy and the hood comes in handy. This was a great purchase. "I purchased this down coat to replace a similar one (also Cabela's). It is very warm with an attractive design. There are, however, some reasons why I did not give it the full five stars. The long length of the coat (which adds to its warmth factor), and it's narrower profile (which adds to its fashion quotient), make it very difficult to zip up quickly. I miss the storm flap snaps on my older model that allowed more closure options. In addition, with the coat fully zipped, it is difficult to get in and out of a car. Partially unzipping from the bottom to allow for additional room works, but I have yet to use this feature without the zipper getting stuck when I try to get out of the coat. Having said all this, I still love the coat and its ability to keep me warm. The adjustable hood is wonderful and has a removable ruff. Without the ruff, the coat is a machine wash and dry garment."

"This is my 2nd winter with this coat. I bought it because I had two dogs to take out at 5AM in the dead of winter. They love the snow and hate to come in. I have had to chase them into the woods to get them to come in. I was freezing in our upstate NY mornings and needed something warm and this coat did it! I could go out in my pajamas an this coat and still be warm. It was so great my sister bought one just like it only in the tan. Great coat!!!! I'm going to get another in a different color now."

"ordered this coat after our -8 degree morning here in Virginia......wish I had bought it sooner!..(so much for no cold weather in VA.) I was very pleased with the material and construction of the coat, and it does run a little on the large size..but that's OK-I really didn't mind fitting into a M instead of a L ! "I really like this coat. It is very warm & comfortable - everything I wanted to keep me warm. I do have to fold back the fur trim on the hood - otherwise it hangs down too far in front of my face. It also seems to collect lint easily (I laid it down on a dark blanket and came away with dark fuzzies all over the front), but when I'm freezing, that is a small problem! One other problem, the trim hem stitching at the left bottom corner next to the zipper is messy, like the machine wasn't working quite right for a few seconds. I haven't tried doing anything to it to make it better. These types of things can be made worse by tinkering, so I may just leave it alone since it is not an in-your-face defect. All that said, I'm very happy with the coat. I wanted warmth, and I got it. I went out in 9 degree weather and was sweating because I had put too many layers on underneath. I like the color (kind of a dark honey) and it goes well with the brown fur-trim knee-high boots I purchased (from another vendor) to go with it. With my new brown sheepskin gloves, I have a great look, and I get compliments all the time!"

"I purchased this coat right before the freezing cold days hit this winter and it was the best thing I could have done!!! It's nice and long and very warm, but it's not heavy. The hood isn't loose like some hoods. It hugs your head a bit and really keeps you warm. This coat is comfortable, soft, and I personally have not had any trouble with the zipper. Mine has worked just fine. I've had lots of compliments on this coat since I got it, too."
